But we had this game, TB was struggling and we coudl not put tehm away, we could not capitalize, we coudl not take advantage. This team really, really, really worries me, they showed too much today of the past, meanwhile, we make fun of the Cowboys, and they coudl possibly be 4-1. This team is in trouble period.

Especially if the team cant win in Buffalo next week.Dallas is better and we have already lost to NY and Philly.Where does that leave us?In the post game McCants just said we lost b/c we didnt execute AGAIN and the bucs stuck too thier game plan and we couldnt finish them off.LA said the same thing and sounded very disappointed.Said he thought he knew what we needed to do to turn it around prior to the game but right now he didnt know what we needed to do.We had to mature and learn to be finishers.

I don't think were in any more trouble then we were in the begininning of the season. Despite a lot of people on this board thinking the Skins were a 11-5 or 10-6 team they have yet to beat any top flight teams.
The Jets are still winless
The Pats were missing half of their team
And the Falcons are only with 1 win and without Vick.
Realistically I said it before this is an 8-8 team give or take a game. We have beat the teams we should beat, the tougher teams in the league (TB, Philly, NY) have beaten us.
By all means I'm not throwing in the towel at all. Its a long season but maybe some peoples expectations will begin to lower a little bit.

Sad to say, we all downed our Dallas Cowboy rivals, but folks, they are a better football team than we are, period.

For starters...
What Spurrier needs to do:
Keep a TE back and block more. Stop running draws, geez.
What Ramsey needs to do:
Get rid of the ball damnit. He holds on way too long.
Defense needs to:
Prey for a pass rush.
Dallas is a better team b/c they have control of the line of scrimmage on both sides. puke.

We had the game. No question. We were up 13-7 and they had nothing going for them. Then everything fell apart, and I'm doing my damnedest to figure out why.
And the Cowboys are officially 4-1. I'm gonna hate this week.

ThenTampa D put them back in the game; sacks, hurries, coverage. Their O took the cue and did what it had to do :(
And when will Coach Edwards learn how to defend in the zone?
:(

I agree with your post. Earlier in the season when we were winning, who were we really beating? Many of us here said, 'well a win is a win.'
That is a true statement but we could not play beatup teams every week.
We are a bad football team wheather we still don't want to admit it or not.
I remember earlier when a lot of the sports magazines and journalists were picking us to finish last in the division (or whatever), we got all pissed off and bent out of shape and were saying that this person and that person were anti-Redskins. No they were not, they were just being realistic about what they saw coming up for us.
This may get even uglier yall before it gets better.

i agree we have played bad so far. and i think spurrier is not coaching them well. but i still have a feeling they will turn it around after the bye week. what i want by the end of the season is atleast 9 wins.

I disagree with this statement. Granted, we have more work ahead of us. Granted we just had our butts handed to us by the Superbowl Champs. Granted it seems we take 1 step forward and 2 steps back every week. But, I cant just label us as a "bad" team.
1. We are MUCH better then last year. Bad teams dont improve as much as we have. LAST year we were a bad team... this year... just improving.
2. The Bucs defense has rattled many opponents for several years. The Colts were a fluke... (and Im willing to bet it wouldn't happen again in a rematch). Ramsey is a YOUNG QB who is learning... and the Bucs gave him an important lesson today.
3. Seems many fans are upbeat when we win and then sing the blues and give up the ghost when we lose... give it time. Like I have always said...we are still a year away. Ramsey is impressing everyone with good reason. We do have some holes... but I do think the worst is behind us... we have weathered a very tough stretch.
The key will be what the team learns from this? Champions get up.
Just my take.

Difference is, game to game, week to week, I just don't think this team will go anywhere under Steve Spurrier

Thing about Steve Spurrie ris this. His four and five Wr sets are causing Ram to get the crap beat out of him. Main problem being, Spurrier is not, and will not adjust this offense, period.

True which means our o-line needs help from our backs and te's every now and then.He learned to run maybe he can adjust to less 4 and 5 WR sets for protection sake. But plain and simple our line isnt playing up to expectations either.

Dallas might[I] have the better team because of one reason: Discipline.

Alright ENOUGH OF THE DALLAS IS GREAT TALK!!!!!!!!!!
YES they are 4-1. But if your gonna give this team the NFC East already why are you even watching the games!?!?!?
Dallas has beaten Arizona and the Jets and had a gift given to them by Matt Bryant of the Giants. Are they a decent team yes but they are NO better then us.
Do you hear me NO better then us
Lets keep it going were 3-3 at this point in the season. Our losses have ALL come aganist playoff teams last year. I'm as disappointed as anyone right now but the way the NFC East seems to be beating themselves up 8-8 or 9-7 may just win the division so lets keep positive until we are totally out.
Dallas still has 2 games aganist us, we step up and win those two and we are RIGHT back in the division race.

That's it. I'm going to set my goal for the 'Skins at 3-13. I'm tired of this damned franchise letting me down.

Alright guys calm down. I am seeing Parcells-SS comparisons. WHY? Everyone remembers Ram is in his second year but so is SS, and without Marvin Lewis it might as well be his first. Remember SS has only coached 22 games in the NFL, I have seen progress from him, he is much better than last year with the playcalling. We just got our tails handed to us by the SUPER BOWL Champs not the Cowboys or the Bengals but the reigning Champs. They took advantage of the chances they were given, we did not. Look at the big picture.. we are 3-3 and heading to Buff to play a team that got spanked by another team we have already beat, lets hope we play better and keep everyone from having heartattacks :D

I'm sorry but yesterday might just have been the blueprint to the rest of our season.
YES - we HAD Tampa and in the thrid quarter, Right where we wanted them. 3rd & 15 from the 15. UFB - So what do we do, play an OVER aggressive defense, leave no at home to cover the screen and GUESS WHAT....... Well you all saw it. BUT did anyone notice that from that point on, OUR team just started playing without any emotion. IMO, they gave up!!! They were dragging their sorry asses around, just going through the motions.
Sorry Guy & Gals but I'm REALLY PISSED. I can stand to beat BUT I have to tolerance when my team gives up.
NEXT week is so damn meaningful now. If we win, were are alive and go to the BYE 4-3. IF we lose - WE can start talking draft and who looks good in college BECAUSE the SKINS are DONE!!!
Give me a DAMN beer!

Please guys. How can we continue to say Spurrier is working with a second year QB and we are playing tougher teams than Dallas.
Point for point. Dallas has played NY Jets, ATL, PHilly.....
So have we.
Dallas beats division rivals, they are 2-0. We can't, we are 0-2
Dallas has a young and relatively inexperienced QB, so do we.
The difference. Good coaching.

Look, before the Philly game, most posters were saying that we would go 2-1 heading into the bye, Losing to Buffalo. We lost to TB and Philly. Now, you guys call an audible and say that we will beat the Bills?

Who in the heck said we'd lose to Buffalo? That was definitely the easiest of the three teams left.

There is a coaching issue here and Spurrier needs to learn all the little nuances of the game. He doesn't gameplan players or we wouldn't have a TE or RB blocking Rice. Rice was even surprised himself to see a TE or RB blocking him. Spurrier has to put more time into his gameplanning of teams. Look at the opposing team's players and their tendencies. Figure out how to address it in your gameplan. He also needs to implement two TE passing situations to provide more blocking.

Waaaaay too much for my liking.
3 - 3 is right where I thought we would be. Sure...I'd give anything to swap the win against the Pats with the home loss against the Giants, but what is done....is done.
4 more divison games exist...2 of which are at home. It is imperative that we win those two...and at least split the 2 on the road.
