View Full Version : Is Spurrier going to ruin Ramsey's career?

His scheme is seemingly getting Ramsey killed. Mike Wilbon summed up the effects of the punishment the best......
"The Redskins have a couple of options. Either simply do a better job, which seems less likely with each passing week, or keep a tight end or fullback in to help protect. Yes, that limits the number of receivers in the pass pattern, but ask yourself, would you rather have the luxury of a fourth of fifth ball catcher or Ramsey alive and upright?"
If I'm Dan Snyder, I'm a little concerned about my franchise QB.

No doubt about it.

Ramsey holds on to the ball too long sometimes. Adding an extra blocker won't help until Ramsey develops that inner clock that lets him know that it is about time to be blasted.
Yes, but Samuels and Jansen are continually getting beat, which means that Ramsey is getting hit before anything downfield has yet developed. If Spurrier doesn't change, then I don't see him in a Skins shirt very long

Wilbon is an idiot. We kept extra blockers we just didn't assign them properly, triple teaming a DT and leaving an allpro DE to TE should never happen.

Patrick has already taken a season's worth of hits. Yesterday in the second half it seem like he was rushing his pass in an effort to get the ball away - REGARDLESS of where it landed. ........ I think the better question at this point, HAS SS system ruined Ramsey? I know the kid is tough but it already seem like he is playing different than he was the first three games.

Hmmm...we did keep a TE in to help protect. And look where that got us!
