I don't know if this is the right forum to post on, or not. Anyway, I'm relatively new to video gaming (2 years......although I played "Atari" as a kid:D). I am becoming a Madden Addict!!! Anyway, does anyone know where there are "Local" Madden Tournaments/Game playing action is (in the D.C./Maryland area)? I'm not that good (yet) but would love to watch some guys mix it up on Madden. Any suggestions?

Also, for you video gaming freaks.....which system do you prefer:

PS2 or XBox?

I've only heard of tourney's online. I'll be getting DSL in a couple months so I'll be online then. I've never played xbox so I guess I prefer PS2

Madden 2004 is my best friend. :D

Seriously, it's great, glad to see new converts joining the cult. I don't know about local tourneys, but there's a ton of stuff going on online.

I have played both systems, and I prefer my XBOX over PS2.

I've played both as well and I prefer my Xbox too. I'm a ESPN football guy, not Madden.

Well, I guess that makes THREE!!! I have both systems also (about 7 games for each system) and I prefer XBOX as well. During my gaming hours, I spend probably about 90% of my time on "the box" and 10% on PS2.

LadynRedskinsfan: Yeah, I definitely know where Arundel Mills is. I go there often. THanks for the info. Actually, I STUMBLED across a Madden tourney last night (about 10 hours after my post). How's that for timing?

It was a local place called the Coloseum (in Cockeysville, MD). Some of the players looked pretty average, but there were a few that were SCARY GOOD. This one guy.......well........there's NO WAY that he has a job.

Joedashmoe: Yes, another Madden cult member here. I really can't wait for my "stick skills" and playcalling to improved. I have played 2 friends of mine, and to my surprise.......I'm 2-0!!!

Yeah, my younger brother SWEARS by ESPN Football. He doesn't even play Madden anymore. I LOVE Madden, but will probably buy ESPN FOOTBALL just to have another football option.

Yes. ESPN is the bomb. Trying to get dj and JDS to open up and give it a try, but they are stubborn.:D

GameDay is pretty solid too. Even though our unis are a cross between the ones we are wearing and the retro ones of last season:D

I've learned many a thing about 2004 since I played Keino. Little things that are different than in 2003, and more things that I never mastered because I didn't own the game. Things that are very helpful.

I'll take him. :D
