Even though it's Massaschussetts, I'm fairly certain they're Iggles or Cowboys fans.

Wow. Dude in the black jacket is a straight B. If he wasn't going to defend himself, he should have at least kept his girl out of the whole mess.
I wasn't expecting the females to fight.....

The look on the two white girls faces after they got their arses handed to them is priceless. Don't talk chit if you're not prepared to back it up. And going by the reaction to the other customers, the two deserved what they got.

Aw man, I loved it. I had the sound low, so I couldn't hear the Shh talk (Gonna make a point to peep this at home), but I was impressed by how the latino (?) couple handled their business.

Wish I could have seen the lead-up. I'm generally not a fan of punching a guy while he's sitting down like that. If you want to fight like a real person let him stand up, preferably outside.

The lone hero is the woman who stuck around after her man left and took care of business. The kid who got jacked up said something like; "I gotta take a piss" and went to the bathroom. The two girls snapping and hopping around deserved the beatdown they got.
Also - if I were that Dennys manager, I would have cleared them out WAY before that cat fight broke out. He was pretty much useless standing there the entire time. Imagine the lawsuit if that fight got bigger and innocent patrons were injured?
Edit: Yes, Cal. I too would like to know what started the initial punches. its not too hard to beat someone up when they are sitting inside a cramped Denny's booth.

From what I've read, it has to do with no maple syrup on the table of the people that got beat up. Not sure what was said though. lol

That's an understatement. Some dude tosses 8-9 punches to his head and all he does is stand up to go take a piss? While his girl is still in the middle of trash talking?! Something tells me this guy has gotten his butt handed to him more than a few times.

I read somewhere that the argument/fight was the culmination of a road rage incident between these couples earlier.

That's awesome.
This is why there's always an off-duty cop at Waffle House at 2am.
*EDIT* Dang, that was in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Shouldn't they have all been at the clam bake or something???

The reason I have no personal objection to the methodical beat down of the guy sitting down is that my sense is that he talked a gang of shh sitting down and didn't want to stand-up like a man. I've seen similar situations in my life....

If that was the case I would probably retract my objection. Given the incomplete information (and the size advantage of the pummelor) I was thinking there was no reason not to try and take it outside.
But frankly this was a Denny's at night, normal rules of engagement aren't always going to apply.

Someone attacks me while I'm sitting at a Denny's they're going to get a fork in an eye socket. Joe Pesci rules of engagement.

There was no syrup on one of the girls tables. She asked the other girl if she could have the syrup from that table. The response was "Bitch, you don't need no syrup on dem pancakes." Nice, huh? Worthy of a fight?

Its shocking anyone did anything then. Yankees have a real talent for talking all kinds of ish and never doing a thing about it. Its why a couple of wannabe goombahs got worked over by some fireman down the street from me last year. They thought they could run their mouths without consequence as usual but things didn't work out so well.

Wait, which one asked for the syrup? The Pummelor or the Pummelee? How did the dudes get into it?

Not quite certain. I'd bet a dollar the one who said "Bitch..." threw the first punch. Think about it, you and I disagree a lot, but even we could share some syrup without it coming to blows. :sfight: Of course, my being diabetic helps that situation. :Peace:

Yeah, this makes more sense. They were the trash talkers and got beat down for it.

I guess I would never ask another table for it, I mean WTF is my waitress doing?
If I were in need, I would take it from an empty table if I really couldn't wait on my server.
But I tend to agree that civilized people need not resort to this sort of behavior. Keeping in mind that Denny's and other 24 hour breakfast establishments at night tend to be dominated alcohol induced patrons sobering up and likely aren't in the most civilized of states.

What I found hilarious were the Ohh's and Ahh's in the background while the catfight was going on.

you lie down with dogs, you rise with fleas...
going to a place that cant keep things civilized and getting into confrontations with low class people looking for trouble is a sure fire way to get your gong rung.. it looked like a live audition for the Springer show, without the bouncers. all the participants were trashy..
the manager also put the place at great risk by not maintaining control or calling for the Cops quickly.. if it had escalated to the point that an innocent bystander was hurt, Denny's would have been sued easily.. there was no excuse for standing by and allowing the confrontation to continue.. as soon as the first blow was struck, the Cops should have been summoned.. totally irresponsible on management's part..

I had to do research on MassLive. That town is near Springfield out in Western Mass, which is considered the Outback by the Boston area. Grungy. Anyway, the cops didn't arrest anyone, but have names on file if the fighters choose to file a complaint. The Hispanic male who was wailing on the guy in the booth left his date there (he probably has outstanding warrants and can't risk contact with cops).
The guy in the booth seems to have the best "case" against Denny's, since there was no security there. Cops said they've been called to that location before (this happened just before 2AM) to control the drunks. A reasonable person can conclude they need security at night. In the town that I lived in (Salem) they would haul the owners to a licensing board hearing. They simply have no tolerance for this in eastern Mass.
