There has been a marked decline in the level of civility here at hailRedskins.com and it bothers me. Certain threads have turned into flame wars. I don't like it. This is not why Mark and I began this site and we won't have it.

All of us [myself included], must work much harder at keeping our emotions in check. Arguments must not be permitted to disintegrate into insults. We are all Redskins fans here and whatever our disagreements, we should be on the same side.

This is an announcement that I, for one, will be much sharper on this issue from now on. I do not want this thread to turn into a shouting match either. I don't want to hear about who started what fight or who is more responsible than the other. I'm not yelling at anyone in particular, I'm yelling at everyone--including yours truly.

Let's knock off the personal insults of other members. Let's everyone think twice before we post anything. Let's all turn off the computer or go to another website for a few minutes to cool down, if that's what it takes. I don't want to have to delete posts or delete members and I know the other Admins and Mods don't want to have to do it either.

Everyone, cheer up a bit. Our Redskins are going to get their fourth win of the season on Sunday. Think about that.

Guys, I work too hard on this damn site to check in after a long day away from My PC to see this crap happening. I work on this site TOO MUCH, I spend TOO MUCH time giving you guys the info i get as quickly as possible, and then the vision of opening this forum to give fellow fans a home on the web, a fun place to chat about our team, and a place where we can talk to one another, meet up, and just have fun, just to check in and see this crap. Guys and Gals, enough is enough!

I am tired of hearing from people on this forum about Site Admins being mean to you, Site Mods picking on you, Blah, Blah, Blah. Get real. Get over it. This is a very user friendly board, that is why we are growing daily, that is what feedback we get from new posters via emaila nd Pms, which they state is a big reason that made them register here. If the few of you who are supposedly being "picked on" (Geesh I feel like i am in high school again) don't like it, then EXIT!

We have an outstanding community here, you are more than welcome here, you are more than welcome to stay, but cut the crap, cut the "I am being picked on, hollier than thou friggin attitudes". Were all just people that love this damn football team, no matter how frustrated we get at them, and we love our corner of the web where we can be a Redskins community together. We want all members to post, we want all to contribute, but all we have ever asked for is common deceny and respect.

I will not allow this forum to dinigrate into a flame board, where people can do what they wish, call people names, insult individuals. IT WON'T HAPPEN HERE! There are too many damn good people here I am proud to call my friends, those I have met, and many I have not met, but still consider friends, but have the pleasure to read their thoughts and opinions daily. Soem of you I have posted with for a few years, other for a few days, but you are all hR Members, hR Supporters, and I deeply appreciate that.

As the one Admin here that rarely gets involved in disputes, I am getting involved heavily in this. Enough is enough. The Admins of this site spednd hours each week, sometimes a few hours a day to bring you this forum and web site. These Admins simply ask that guidelines we have devised to keep this forum healthy, be respected. If you can't do that, then please leave. This is YOUR FORUM and COMMUNITY, and I know MOST members here feel part of this Redskins family and enjoy it. We will continue to work vigorously to maintain the credibility and respect this forum has earned.

No convert here -- I'm a born and raised Skins fan. My family moved from Potomac to San Antonio when I was in the 3rd grade, and I've been holding my own against these &*%$#% Cowboy fans ever since. Since most Cowboy fans are fair-weather fans, it hasn't been too tough. The worst part about moving here was I used to have a bada$$ Redskins sweatshirt that I hardly ever got to wear 'cause it doesn't get cold enough down here!!! :)

I moved to Texas in 1990. I live in the Plano texas area and I am a member of the Burgundy and Gold fan club at Austins Avenue. The owner of the sports bar is a Skins fan in enemy territory, how cool is that. I think we should all vent on the fans of other teams not ourselves, we are one, remember that. We are growing a strong army of Burgundy and Gold fans here. If you guys are in the area sometime you have to check out Austin Avenue. Every sunday there is about 100 skins fans packed in there. We are the majority there on sundays it is the best.

Are you able to get the Skins every Sunday there? My sister lives in McKinney, so next time I'm up that way visiting her, I'd love to stop in and catch a game. It'd be a nice change to watch a game surrounded by Skins fans. I can't remember what that's like!

Well first let me address the "Let's get along" situation, I'm not sure what happened? I have not been very happy with our games lately and have truly only come by to hR on a minimum basis. (Sort of stuggling to discuss kinda of moods) Anyway I did know anybody was having problems discussing amongst friends here, but I beleive we can all work it out with a win today too. Maybe we can hold a poster's only meeting (NO MODS), and leaders here can take lead again. J/K
