I love this. The reason this franchise has been successful during labor strife (besides having a HOF coach and should be HOF GM) was the team making a commitment to each other and practicing together.
Hopefully this is a signal of culture change for our beloved franchise.

Meanwhile Haynesworth is eating out the entire contents of a Krispy Kreme in Ashburn, including the staff.

If Haynesworth keeps this up, his next team will be the Springfield Isotopes.

Ok, let's not turn this into a bash Haynesworth thread.
I agree with Keino in that this is a good signal that the culture could be changing at Redskins Park.

If I were a local to DC/NOVA, I'd try like hell to find out the date and show up to watch.
Could you imagine the players showing up to practice and being greeted by a couple of hundred Redskin fans?

Doesn't this happen every year? Players from the same Uni or have the same agent practice together in Florida, Arizona, SoCal, etc? I know McNabb's been running an informal camp in Zona for years.

Yes and no. Yes certainly individiual players from different teams get together and work out at their School and you are correct about McNabb and the sports performance camp in AZ that he and a bunch of other players utilize. The difference is the climate of labor strife and the idea of players holding team oriented activities. In both the 82 and 87 strikes, the Redskins in particular stayed unified and practiced together and stayed in shape together and I think that played a huge role in the success each of those respective teams was able to attain. I certainly don't think the 2008 or 2009 Redskins would be talking about getting together as a team (I could be wrong there) which is why I think it might signal a changing culture in the locker room. I hope.

Fair enough, but it seems like most teams are doing the same things this time around. I would guess that the "trade association" "suggested" this to the player reps.

This is true, I just don't see it as big a sign of progress team culture wise I guess. I'd be happier if Snyder stopped being a douche because the entire franchise takes their cues from him(subconsciously or not).
