Will SS offense work? I think that SS is going to have to protect Ramsey more and that means more conservatinve schemes. The kind SS doesn't like. He likes to spread the field and that has lead to 21 sacks. We have some good recievers. Why don't we let them beat the CBs instead of the scheme beating them. We need to protect Ramsey. I hate Brad Johnson(by the way)

Yeah, Spurrier's scheme calls for about 4 or 5 passing routes on a given play. I don't think we can do that on all passing plays. Maybe 3 routes is more appropriate with everyone else staying in to block.

Saw something on NFL Live a few minutes ago that relates. Merril and Jaws were analyzing the Rams, and they pointed out that what's made St. Louis's offense go again isn't really Bulger or healthy skill position players, but the fact that Martz has scaled down from four- and five-reciever sets to two-back sets, where both backs stay in to block. This has resulted in a lot more time for Bulger, which has put the Rams back in the front running pack of league offenses.
Food for thought, Steve....

Our backs are horrible blockers. We should use two TEs.
