If you listen to everyone out there the Steelers could play their cheerleaders and still beat the Redskins. The TD drive was against the backups but the first couple of drives that were far from the disaster everyone expected were against first stringers, and they were blitzing. Long way to go, but all things considered nobody can complain so far.

Reed is horrible. He's always close enough to the play to look like he's helping but far enough away to not actually do anything. Horton's reads are HORRIBLE.

Yea... 2nd/3rd SS starting AND playing FS = bad, very bad. Atogwe is hurt, moore is hurt, but i would rather see Gomes or a CB @ FS then those 2. We've seen that before, it doesn't work.

eh, its supposedly going to have a 10% chance. 10% more touch-backs in actual games. To limit contact and injuries and nearly kills the almost gimme 20 yards for taking it out of the end-zone. Now the returners have to make their money, their decision. Real kick returners will make the decision banks did and run out with it. (not saying banks is a sure thing)

Main point of the rule change is to limit injuries in the 3rd phase of the game, i'm 'ok' with it.

The jury is out for me but it makes guys like banks sooooo important.

I just think you gotta let it all play out its how guys make a team on coverage and returns. its gonna make it harder for fringe guys to find a niche.

It's been played with before. Was watching CSN and ESPN talking about it earlier, something the NFLPA wanted for safety and owners pushed for it in the end. Might get changed, i'm 'ok' with it either way, just don't think its that big of a deal. The guys who excel at it, will still excel at it, but have to think more before they do it. If that's your niche, you do it.

As an Ohio State fan, Evan Royster was a pain in the ass for a long time at Penn State.... He's definetely a threat if he can regain that "pop" he had his freshman and sophomore year. He will certainly be a good rotational back imo..
