Hello everyone...id like some advice. So uh...I was born in maryland in the 80s....grew up seeing and hearing the skins all through the 90s but never really became a huuuge fan cause I was so young and my family was never big on football. Im from silver spring and wasn't around there when the ravens were introduced btw. Fast forward almost 20 years and I'm in San Diego as a die hard chargers fan. Heres my worry.. Looks like the chargers might be moving to Los Angeles, and I HATE everything about LA sports teams! So is it wrong for me to consider returning to my redskins roots and being a skins fan?? No way I would be able to continue following the bolts if they move to LA. (that's how us San diegans are). I know the redskins are going through rough times, but I want to be a fan no matter what... How can I develop that passion that I currently have for the chargers?! Is it even possible? Or will I become one of those boring NFL fans that doesn't have a team??

Surprised no one has replied.
Being a Skins fan has been a chore ever since Dan Snyder took over.
But we've suffered for so long things are BOUND to turn around right? Maybe you're timing is right. In any case you will not find a more impassioned fan base. Misery loves company.

You have to really be dedicated to be a Skins Fan. We know that someday we'll be on top again, we just don't know when. It's the "Any Given Sunday" attitude that keeps us going.
You have a legit reason to be a Skins fan. Why don't you try to read up on the Franchise, hang around this forum a bit, and see if the Skins are the team for you. Thanks for an interesting post...

1. Doubt the Chargers wind up in LA. Posturing for a new stadium is all. Go visit Jacksonville and you'll have a whole new perspective.
2. After that, if you still REALLY want to switch over, get to know players and spend some time on the boards. I doubt you can do it though. I tried to bail on the Skins two years ago and cheer for the Steelers (grew up liking them living in Morgantown WV), but alas, you are what you are. And Im a Redskins fan...the switch doesnt hold. I CAN understand if a team leaves your area, but refer to #1
3. As up and down as the Chargers are, the grass aint greener over here.
