Trade Offer: Helu for my 1st Rnd Rookie Pick..thoughts?

Got an offer. He will give me Helu for my 1st Rnd pick in the Rookie draft. (2nd overall in a 16 team league)

What do you think?

Status of my team:
Took it over mid-season. I am thin EVERYWHERE. Here are my best at each position.
QB: Matt Cassel, Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne
RB: Cedric Benson, Green-Ellis (I have Mikel Leshoure too)
WR: Malcolm Floyd, Heyward-Bey, Doug Baldwin, Torrey Smith (Also have Hankerson)
TE: Dickson, Rudolph

My IDPs aren't much better but I've got to shore up some offense first.

Helu may be a good back but he is a back for Shanny and destined for a rb by committee approach. Keep your pick.

and never draft or trade for redskins players, losses are bad enough to watch on Sunday, doubly more if the redskins you pick also under perform

Yeah, that's my concern too. Even if Helu blows it up with huge pts next year, Shanny will just trade him and move to someone else at that point.

I'm thinking about countering with a lower pick...maybe my 3rd rounder (34th overall)

If you are picking 2nd overall, you should use it on either Trent Richardson or Justin Blackmon. (basically whoever isn't picked first) Helu is part of the Shanny carousel of RBs and you never know how long that gravy train will last. This is a 16-team keeper so you want as much young talent stocked away as possible. Don't waste a Trent/Justin opportunity on Helu...

Yeah, I've got my fingers crossed that Richardson somehow falls to the middle of the 1st round in the NFL draft and goes to a decent team....and then the guy ahead of me jumps on Blackmon or does something silly like grabbing Luck or RG3 with that pick.
