I know it's unlikely. What if Indy tells us they are open to trade with us and pick the 2nd best QB available?

Would you make the trade to get Luck and what are you willing to give up?

nothing. we have moved up to 2 and gave up alot and no matter if indy takes Luck or not we get our QB of future. we can not trade up anymore.

Washington is in no position to offer anything to Indy worthwhile enough to swap picks. Indy is moving towards a youth movement, so any type of compensation will center around our high draft picks, which BTW are on their way to St. lousy.

I guess we could offer 2 future seconds and countless Einstien general relativity future 1sts that are worth a bag of baked lays on any value chart.

Intriguing scenario but not happening.

I have zero interest in Luck...so hell no! RG3 is who I want!

I wouldn't give anything to move up for Luck. I don't think it's likely, but it wouldn't shock me if Indy picks RGIII. Conventional wisdom may be that Luck is more NFL ready, but RGIII has a number of intangibles that Luck does not. He has the IT factor.

if the colts wanted to trade with us that would mean they really wanted rg3,so
bottom line we wouldnt have to do anything to get luck.
i am like you rather have rg3 than luck.

Can someone please explain the logic in this question to me? Indy wants to swap so they can take the 2nd best QB? They have the #1 pick, they can take who they want.

The logic IMO is that the Colts call the Redskins and fish for interest. Also, if I am the Colts I threaten to take Griffin... They just have to be prepared in the event that their bluff is called.

The Skins will look like complete idiots... I think Griffin has more upside and downside potential so if I roll the dice on such a big trade, I want the Griffin. Luck would be a HUGE disappointment b/c I think more than Griffin he will need a good surrounding cast.

what interest could the Redskins possibly have in moving up one spot. They will get one of the two top QB prospects with the 2nd pick.

That assumes they consider them interchangeable. Do they? I don't.

If RG is the one you want, that may be the reason you may want to move up to No. 1 to make sure Indy doesn't take him.

But, we have given up too many picks already to get to the No. 2 spot. So, we will just have to sit tight and take the one Indy doesn't take.

I did post in another thread about rumors that Indy may pass on Andy Luck because of difficulty with his meddling father (Oliver Luck). The rumors further have it that Andy Luck has expressed misgivings about playing for the Redskins. Let's hope these rumors have no basis and that there is really nothing to worry about.

I don't think the question was meant to say that Indy wants to trade down in order to take the 2nd best QB. I think it probably means that Indy may have no preference between the two and just wants to get more future picks. So, if they can talk Wash into giving up a pick to move up one spot, why not?

They can have Reed Doughty. And I would STILL take RGIII :)

Are we really trying to be picky now? Luck or RGIII, I will be happy either way. These two young men are the future of the NFL.

For me, and I don't watch a ton of college, Griffin is better prepared to succeed on a crappy team now. I would cringe to see Luck behind our line.

Luck is basically Cam Newton 2.0. There combine numbers were nearly identical.
