GREAT READ higgybaby!

Of course you realize that they will still use it. Democrats will say anything to get one of thier own in the office.
This is just another reason to re-elect Bush. He's doing exactly what he said he was going to do. He even said it would take time.

When are people going to realize that Markets are cyclical? It's not the Economy we criticize him for, it's his economic Policy, which amounts to Corporate Welfare and his ridiculous Deficit spending......

Was that a revelation of some sorts? What political party doesn't do that for their own?

Yay .. rich guys with lots of stock are making money while unemployment worsened in the third quarter. Overall the third quarter was a losing one for employment as more people were unemployed, and the jobs people were obtaining were far below their previous salaries. The job market is the ultimate measure of the economy .. and until there is vast improvement .. the economy is anything but a strenght of Bush's.

By the way, the universal opinion is that the recent surge is likely short lived once the spending effects of the massive tax cuts and recent mortgage refinancings (due to historically low interest rates unseen in 40 years) go away.

But please find me one conservative [aside from yourself] who considers the NY Post liberal. Just one. It's owned by Rupert Murdoch and bills itself as the conservative "voice of the people" in NYC.

Just thought I'd add this little tidbit of news to this thread about the Democrats supposedly having no winning issues:

More Americans definitely plan to vote AGAINST Bush in 2004 than definitely plan to vote for him. (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-11-04-bush-poll_x.htm)

Just thought you'd like to know!

my mistake about the ny post, I had it confused with that other new york paper... thanks for pointing that out spence, I am sure that you were in no way doing that in an attempt to make me look like I did not know what I was talking about, you would not do that now, would you?
Regardless, you seemed to try to shoot down the legitimacy of my entire post because it came from the ny post and I was showing that this was certainly not a ny post exclusive, even legitimate liberal friendly cnn or msnbc and other media outlets were all reporting this news.

Well, Higgy, I didn't address the rest of your post because it didn't seem that outrageous to me. I didn't agree with it because I know there is much more to the health of an economy than simple numbers about economic growth. Employment matters more and so does inflation. They're all important, but I don't think pulling one out and citing that as evidence of everything is very illuminating. Besides, I think I addressed it in the thread I started about the bad unemployment numbers.

I picked out the NY Post part of your comments because I couldn't believe them. Since your comments seemed serious and I had no way of knowing that you had mixed up newspapers, it seemed reasonable to assume that you were serious in considering the NY Post a liberal newspaper. And I think most everyone would agree that anyone who thinks the NY Post is too liberal might be just a bit off the tracks. I'm glad to see you don't actually think that.

And, with very few exceptions, I will never try to humiliate or embarrass anyone in here. [I'd probably make an exception for Nazis, racists, and anyone who thinks America deserved the 9/11/01 attacks.] I am a spririted debater, but I like to keep things civil and polite in here. We're all Redskins fans, after all, and that's what brought us here in the first place. :)
