Folks, Rock Cartwright, only 9 Carries!!!!!! 9 carries 32 yards, Trung had 10 for 18. Rock carries 13 times for 81 yards last wekk,a nd we turn around and give him 9 carries. SHAME ON YOU FOR LETTING THIS TEAM down Coaching Staff. SHAME ON YOU!

I don't understand what their fascination with Trung is. Maybe if Rock had more carries earlier in the game, we wouldn't have had so many 3 and outs.

Yes, that was something I was screaming about the entire game, but the coaching staff did well just about everywhere else.

I don't think that the coaching staff bears as much of the blame as defensive and offensive execution. A missed FG, the inability to stop Jake Delhomme (Jake Delhomme?!?) and make a defensive stand, four turnovers and only 3 points out of them...this game was all about the players' lack of execution.

Good point Rock needs more carries. Trung just can not break tackles. He just goes down when he's touched. Trung has not impressed me much this year. I'd rather have Morton in there than Trung.

I agree with you but just in part.
Ramsey is the one that was not sharp today.
He missed wide open receivers.

Your right skinsfan, but i am not sure we can justify, based on success of last week, only 9 carries for the Roock, and 10 for Trung, no full well that Trung was struggling to get back to the line of scrimmage. Building on the success of last week, i saw demolition, not building. Poor game plan, absolutely horrid. Maybe Hue was an abberation.

Most of our players were off today. Ramsey missed the deep balls, the line broke down, the backs generally weren't productive, and the defense couldn't have stopped Oakland today.

It takes more than an accurate throw to connect on pass patterns. If the WR's don't clear their jams and the LOS and get held up, the pattern gets delays and the ball appears to be overthrown. Don't assume all overthrows are Ramsey's fault.

I wouldn't put every single one on Ramsey's shoulders, but the fact is that he overthrew every single fade/jet/go/seam pattern he threw today.

All of those incompletions make it hard to gauge the gamplan in my opinion. When you have higher completion percentage, you have to throw it fewer times. So I don't know that it is necessarily correct that the play calling was suspect. The personnel choices certainly were, by keeping Trung in instead of Rock. Trung simply cannot break tackles. He gets hit, he goes down. We need a higer rate of completion from our QB and more runs by Rock and Ladell when he gets healthy.

I'm not gonna rip the playcalling. We were a bit pass-happy early on, but that tapered off. They actually did exactly what I thought was the best thing to do by going deep early and often. Ramsey just didn't deliver today.

Ramsey missed Gardner wide open in the end Zone and Cartwright fumbled going into the end zone... You cannot blame that on the coaches

No ffense Joe. Ramsey bad day? Fine, I will give that. Trung 10 caiires/Rock 9 carries
Nuff said. Horrible game plan, I am deeply disappointed in SS and HJ. The successful game plan last week was virtually abandon this week.

One detail doesn't make the overall game plan bad.

After that brilliant QB keeper call, Ramsey could be seen saying "why'd you do that?" as he walked off the field.

Now wait a minute...Hue got all the credit last week for calling a win. Shouldn't he get all the credit for calling a loss?

The coaches? How about the just Spurrier. He didn't call the plays today but he was the one who had Trung running the ball. The play calling was really pretty good IF you look at the fact that Patrick missed most of those long patterns. Complete just 2 of those and it's a whole different game.

Rock fumbling killed us. Ramsey holding on to the ball killed us. Missing the deep open receivers killed us. Its not all on the coaches. I like Ramsey and he has potential and this may not be popular but I would like to see a QB who can move around and make things happen. I am not blaming him for the loss but he didnt help much. That QB draw or whatever it was, it was awful.

I wouldn't blame the coaches. The opportunities where there but the players couldn't execute. Hue was the running back coach, so i don't know why you blame Spurrier for running Trung. That should be up to Hue.
Carolina's run d was really solid. I'm disappointed but not with the gameplan. We could have won.

No, i am not totally blaming the coaches, but the game plan was far from different than last week.
Besides the coaches:
1. Ramsey was off. Ramsey had a rookie day. Ramsey made bad throws. Ramsey was nervous.
2. Trung is totally inept and incapable.
3. Samuels. Nuff said.

Amen to those three, Spence. Especially the last one.

PSF - I would add one more to the list - the DBs gave up TOOO much ground today. I kept score on Champ and Smoot who combined gave up more plays than they made.

Bad coaching - Bad execution
It's all good, er, bad
I thought that game-winning "touchdown" was a fumble.
Blame it on the officials, too!
