A DE or DT that going to put some push to that unit. I will say, the D-line did a pretty good job of shuting to the run but NOT enough pass pressure. ...... Another area, O-line.

that would go along way in our DB's being able to cover the likes of a Muhammad (who torched us today) and other seemly ok WR's in the NFL, a good pass rush like the days of manley & mann would be my greatest need for this team

a pass rushing end/tackle
Coles, McCants, Ramsey, Samuels, Jansen, Thomas, Trotter, Arrington, Armstead, Smoot, Bowen, Ohalete, Morton, Barker, Hall
We have alot of players, We need better offensive and defensive lineman. But what we really need are COACHES who know what they are doing. Coaches who know how to make a game plan. Who know how to make adjustments. Who know how to teach, call plays, and motivate their players. I hope after this season that SS understands why coaches in the NFL stay in their offices for as long as they do. The reason college coaches don't make it in the NFL is because they never had to do the things that need to be done in order to be successful the NFL. Look at what Marvin Lewis has done with the Bengals. Does anyone think he has better players than the Skins. We need good coaches. When Jack Kent Cooke hired Joe Gibbs, he told him to do one thing. Hire the best coaches you can get. Look at where it got Gibbs and the Skins. Look at where we are now.

An o-line that can block and a defense that can close out a game.

A RB that can stay in the game on all downs and siuations
trung sucked a big fat one again I would rather have our 4th rd pick back than have this P.O.S. in the backfield.
i can't remember when lee Suggs was drafted in the 4th rd. but if he was available when we would have picked i would have gambled on him.

Well, after reflecting on this for a bit....
1. A Pass rushing DE
2. A big DT.
3. A REAL RB that can eat the clock and gain yards, not scamper and fall after gaining two yards.
4. A Coach.

#1 - ahead of all else:
Smart, strong running back - who plays consistently.
(Hey, we have one... now only if the coaching staff can get him enough PT!)

Before we decide if we need to draft a RB, I would like to see Ladell Betts get an honest to God chance at the job fulltime. Last year he split it with Watson, this year he has to share carries with Canidate, for God only knows why. Betts earned the job in week 1 against the Jets. He shouldn't have been splitting time with Trung. We need to pick a back and a backfield. I saw go with Ladell and Rock the rest of the way and see what we have.

Defensive line help big time. Imagine what kind of defense we would have if there was pressure on the QB. Our secondary and LB's are great but D line wins games.

If we can't get Harris or Wilfork with our first pick, I think we will trade back in the first round. Either way, we must address both the tackle and end position.

Defensive line is the root of all defensive problems. RB is the root of all offensive problems.

We need a DE. I know that I bashed the Russell signing earlier, but he is our best defensive lineman. Re-sign him if not too expensive. Then draft a DE. I don't care about John Abraham. I don't care about Shaun Elliss. Let's look turn to draft talent for once.
