Say what you want about him, call himan idiot, but I happen to agree with alot of what he says in this article.

I agree with this article as well. At pretty much every level, this team is not doing it's job. Maybe Snyder will get frustrated and sell the team.

He makes good points the only problem is it took him 12 weeks to figure out what most of us knew before the season

I like hsi part abotu how overrated the term "continuity" is. You only want to continue somethign worth continuing. Ten year, one playoff, and the team has gotten progressively worse each season, what is worth continuing.

[And, indeed, many Turner supporters--and there were a few--did make that argument.]

Joe Gibbs: Continuity is good. Norv Turner: Continuity is bad. Steve Spurrier: Well, make up your own mind about that one.

My favorite part about that column is where Daly explains what offensive balance is. Spurrier and his defenders think that if he calls roughly the same number of passing and running plays, he's got a balanced offense. Baloney. A balanced offense is one that takes advantage of whatever weaknesses the opponent has. In the case of the Saints, they have not been able to defend the run all year and the Skins were slicing and dicing them up with their ground game. Instead of running the ball 45 times, as he should have done, Spurrier called almost twice as many pass plays as run plays. There is no excuse for it.

Continuity really killed Dallas this year and Tampa last year. It's an overrated idea.

I agree with the assessment of the football team and coaches. I think the Snyder digs are not supported and simply unprofessional. As far as I can tell, the only issue with Snyder is that he personally doesn't know what it takes to coach a winning NFL team and he has been blinded by the glitter and publicity of too many people trying to sell him stuff. I assume this is a by-product of being a salesman himself ... he actually beleives that BS. I don't think he is however some evil shadow on the team or the league ... I trust that when he discovers what it takes to coach a winning team .... he will stick with it ... simply because he is a fan ... no fan ... good or bad ever has an issue with winning. Snyder hasn't had a winner and he started shopping for one ... I don't think he should stop yet ... but I do think he should go and find some un-marketted football expertise for counsel before he does anything else ... perhaps someone who has retired a winner in the NFL and can describe what it takes to Snyder so he will know what to buy.

DO you mean Tampa this year and Dallas last year? Because this way, it makes no sense.

"I think the Snyder digs are not supported and simply unprofessional"

Is this a professional website for professional posts only?
Not supported by whom. C'mon Snyder is a little Napolean who is in over his head in creating a secure team winning enviroment. I think there are many posts that dig on Snyder and provide information that supports Snyder digs

Who is out there that has the coaching experience/greatness of these two guys??

Getting rid of Spurrier won't help our problems much if there is no one to replace him.
:smash:

And possibly more importantly, who, with any prestige, wants to work under Snyder?
