Remember how crazy some people were for WR Ashlie Lelie of the University of Hawaii two years ago? Check this out: The Broncos are described by sources in Denver as being “patiently frustrated” with second-year WR Ashley Lelie. They still have faith that he will be a very good player in time and want him to keep his chin up, but he has fallen well shy of expectations in what was supposed to be an impact season. It's gotten so bad that the Broncos are trying out CB Deltha O'Neal at wideout.

This is surpising... I even expected better play from this guy.
Yea Rich I was and I still think he'll be good. Read the quote .. SECOND YEAR receiver. It's too early to judge that class successful or not.

My mistake .... But don't be mad that Miami is the only college that a NFL championship team could be put together from its illumnni

I wanted Kalimba Edwards in that draft and he's coming along ok, but Ramsey was the right pick. The Betts pick is debatable to say the least.

The Betts pick looks bad right now, but at least we're not Cleveland Browns fans. They passed on Clinton Portis not once, but TWICE. Just so they could have that William Green loser. Every once in a great while I get one right in the draft and I had Green pegged from the start.

He looks like a sinking ship that is for sure..

A few notes about Lelie:
1. He's a second-year receiver. The rule is three years. That's just how it works. Remember how Santana Moss was "underperforming" last year?
2. It's not the greatest excuse, but the fact that Denver has played Wheel of Quarterback all season doesn't help.
3. O'Neal has been listed as a wideout lately because he fell so deep into Shanahan's doghouse that the coach refused to even let him practice his position.
Last week Ashlie Lelie caught a 46 yard pass that ended up leading to winning the game for denver in ot. This week he had 5 receptions for 155 yards, including a 60 yard grab. Some judge far too quickly .. and I would also note that Quentin Griffin (who I said we should have picked up in the late rounds) showed that when given the oppurtunity to start, he is a good back running 28 times for 136 yards.
