I know we are all frustrated by the running game this season but I was looking at the draft positions and I think it will be much better to pass on Kevin Jones and Stephen Jackson which will be sure first round picks. And grab a RB in the 2nd round where there will still likely be atleast 2 or possibly 3 very good possibilities.

I figure there are 6 RBs that would all be upgrades for Washington.
These guys are
Kevin Jones
Stephen Jackson
Chris Perry
Cedric Benson
Greg Jones
Cadillac Williams

All of those guys have 1st round talent but atleast 3 or maybe 4 of them will drop into the 2nd round because many teams appear set at that position. This would allow us to address the D-line in the first round which is the most pressing need currently. We also should still intend on using Trung and Betts next year atleast in some capacity in the backfield which would further help the notion of having a back in the 2nd round so we wouldn't have to pay a guy like Kevin Jones high dollar when he'll still probably split some carries with our other backs.
What do you guys think????

Cadilac Williams isn't coming out as of now and Chris Perry's status is pending on his 40 time. Cedric Houston (if he comes out) is another very good option.

Yea I know BC,
But from what I've heard and read Williams and Houston both are expected to come out this year.

Maybe we could draft Bruce Perry and have another often injured back

Whoa, whoa, hold up a sec. I don't pay that much attention to college ball, so I've never heard of this... there's a guy named Cadillac? We need to draft this guy based on his name alone.

His name is Carnell Williams but he goes Cadillac. Running back for Auburn I believe.

Other intersting college football names are:
Vegas Robinson, Pacman Jones.
Anyone else wish to add to the list?

You forgot Mike Turner (No. Ill) and he's going to be a steal for someone in the second round.

Jones is a local kid with great speed and power.

I really just want Jones or Jackson especially if we are forced to trade Champ. We should be able to pick another 1st with a trade and possiby a second or a 3rd to boot. With the added picks we could still address the D-line.Not to mention what we can add through the free-agent market.I hope we can keep Champ but if we cant then i say this would certainly help fill some gaping holes.

It shouldn't matter where he's from.
