Morton Kondracke was on Fox News and said that while he was talking to Madeline Albright before Britt Hume's show, she said, "I wonder if the administration has Bin Laden somewhere and are just waiting for the right political moment to bring him out". What the?!! He said she said it with a straight face too.
Maybe someone ought to tell Ms. Albright that just because she worked in an administration that wagged the dog, not all are like that.

Well, far be it for me to question the veracity of anything on Faux News, but I suspect Ms Albright was kidding.
As for Clinton wagging the dog, I suppose you're referring to Desert Fox, the 1998 bombing of Iraq which took place during the impeachment debates. I think it is only fair to point out that Desert Fox [to punish Saddam for expelling the U.N. weapons inspectors] was done in conjunction with UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, the favored foreign leader of American right-wingers. It was also endorsed by the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of Defense William Cohen, a former Maine Senator and a lifelong Republican.
Just a few facts you won't get on Faux News.

Kondrake reported it and specifically said she was straight faced when she said it. He is from that right wing Roll Call though.
As far as reps from the opposing party supporting a military action, ahem, I can name a few who supported the one you so hate. ;)

Dave, Bush wouldn't have gotten Senate approval without support of the Dems, who controlled the Senate at that time. I have not suggested that the Iraq War is illegitimate under U.S. law, though it is almost certainly illegal under international law. [I know, I know, international law is for librulcommiepinkotreehuggers.] But I don't care how many Dems gave Bush the nod to wage his war. It still doesn't make it right. The spinelessness of the Democratic party is not a justification for anything except the professional extermination of the party leadership. Those Dems who did help Bush out are not being rewarded for it, though. The GOP slime machine still attacked Democratic Senators who voted for war authorization during the 2002 elections and the Dem primary voters are punishing those Dems who did survive [Kerry, Gephardt, Lieberman].

It may all work out great for the GOP then. They will get some ultra-liberal to run against Bush AND they'll trot out Bin Laden somwhere bout September!

I always figured that the CIA would "find" that yellowcake from Niger around mid-October of 2004, but I suppose bin Laden would work just as well. (Of course that depends on Bush paying off Pakistan to turn him over.)

I wonder if conspiracy theorists truly understand how insane they sound when they come out with these theories?

I don't have a problem with some random person making this stupid claim. I do have a problem with a former Secretary of State saying it.

Call me insane next October when, with Bush trailing Dean in the polls, it happens.

There won't be any yellowcake in October 2004. The yellowcake story was just another invention of the Bush administration's Office of Special Plans in the Pentagon. That whole nonsense non-story was shot down by a number of authorities, ranging from the U.N. to the Italian media, before Ambassador Joseph Wilson threw cold water all over it and exposed it as just another Bush administration lie to justify their pre-emptive war against Iraq.
As for this smear against Ms Albright, I think I'll wait until I hear it from her lips. Pardon me if I don't take the word of a neocon like Morton Kondracke.

Hell, I'll do it now if you believe it.

If Ms Albright had a history of saying such things I think Kondracke's story would carry more weight, but she does not so it does not. At least, not with me.

apparently according to reports out of Fox, there were two hairdressers who were there and say that she appeared serious when she said this... maybe she has a dry sense of humor?

In this story (http://www.globetechnology.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20031223/TALON23/TPTechnology/?query=clark) Ms Albright says she was joking. Absent any evidence to the contrary [aside from testimonial from Faux News hairdressers], I think this one has been put to bed.
