if the draft order remains the same the skins will pick eight who should they pick:
defensive end: Will Smith (OSU) or Kenechi Udeze (SoCal)
defensive tackle: Tommie Harris (OU) or Vincent Wilfork (miami) or David Pollack (Georgia)
safety: Sean Taylor (miami)
running back: kevin jones (vt)
tight end: Kellen Winslow (miami)
considering all the whole on defense it would be hard to imagine drafting anything other than defense but at the same time can we afford to pass on a guy like kellen winslow?

If he comes out Harris won't be their when we pick.. He will be a top 3 choice.

If we are able to keep the LBs and DBs the same, then the DT we need to fill in is a 325 lbs + lineman. IF we sign Russell (as the second DT) and he get into a conditioning program in the off season, we'd then have the interior addressed. The DE become the weakness that would need to be taken care of through FA. Still think Zellner could accel their but would like to upgrade Wynn side.

I dont watch much college football but if Kevin Winslow is anything like Shockey then I would say that a TE like that would be a great addition to the skins offense. But I would say before the draft the skins need to find a FA TE. The skins havent had a TE that has been able to make big plays ever since I can remember. Now i'm only 20 so it hasnt been that long but it is obvious a TE with good catching ability would be a great addition. Also I wouldnt be surprised if they sent Armstead packing after this season which to me would be a great dissapointment but if you have a good DL then the LB's will thrive off that so the skins need to draft for DL IMHO.

Udeze at the eigth pick would be a reach and a half.

Winslow kind of feel from my list when he had his little "hissy fit" after their loss. We don't need a head case.

Even me and my avatar have to think about passing over the guy on my avatar for defense after today.

I would love to draft Jones. But like BC stated above, we have to draft DL if we are to get better next year.
I suppose it'll also depend on who we go after in FA. That will make a difference on who we'll draft.

Jones would be good for any coach. Joe Thiesman said we need to draft a RB in the first round and so did the other guys in the booth at the game. Jones gonna be an awsome RB in the NFL.

Beginning to re think this whole thing. It might really help us to trade down, pick up a lower first that would allow us to still pick Randy Starks AND get a another second.

If you trade the 5th pick you have to get 2 first rounders..... No way do you do it for a 1st and second

Not really - Trade our pick to a team that is currently drafting 10 - 20 (that wants to move up), their first (10 - 20), our second (37) and their second (42 - 52). To me, it would be worth it looking who is available in the top 50 picks. OF course, I agree with you, two #1s would be better but that means two #1 contracts.
