This is such a nothing week. The loss to Philly is a forgone conclusion. A 5-11 record is a done deal. Another losing season is locked in. And the Redskins and Snyder are the laughing stock of the league.
BUT..........next Monday is not that far off. I am looking forward to the firings. I will feel some sort of nirvana if George Edwards name can just make ESPN news next week. Of course Spurriers resignation would trigger some sort of orgasm in me.....however I don't really expect THAT much pleasure next week.( Although I can lay in bed and fantasize about it.)

Man, pour some cold water over yourself. ........ I wouldn't get too excited, you might just be alittle disappointed.

just trying to add a bit of humor to the funeral parlor/lynch mob atmosphere that has taken over the board.

There needs to be a lynch mob and I am surprised it is not heavier than we currently have. Going from 7-9 to 5-1,. despite all the enthusiasm and optimism on this forum In Agust and Septemeber, I am actually surprised most members are being relatively calm.

I think most members have resigned to our fate. I try to look ahead and think positive. I don't like to dwell on the negative, it interferes to much with my actual life.
P.S. That doesn't mean I ain't pissed as hell.

Ater witnessing the decisions this team has made on and off the field I will reserve my excitment of any positive changes until I see it, hear it, and then it's officially ordained on this site.

Hey, I'll give Rick a little support and say that I got a laugh out of it.
Anyway, yeah, the more firings on the coaching staff, the better.

I'll take 5-1 over 5-11 anyday. ;)

I got a kick out of Patrick's response.
As far as a lynch mob atmosphere I agree w/ PSF. It's long overdue. How the hell can the Cowboys, Panthers, and Bengals be in the playoffs and we're not yet when we've been closer to it every year? I don't want anymore 'sexy' offseasons, I want a 'sexy' playoff birth. RealRick if the language is to strong for you to handle, you might want consider that cold water right about now.

This is how I generally feel. I mean, on sundays, when we lose, I feel like my spine is being ripped out of my body by Satan himself. Then monday rolls around and I realize that I could not do any better than the guys on the field or the coaches so I basically just let it be until friday or saturday when I start to feel like maybe this team has enough heart to turn things around. Then sunday comes along and I realize the only heart this team has is my heart (and the hearts of all the other skins fans) as they watch it slowly stop beating as it was just ripped out of my chest. I don't know about you guys but it takes me until late march or so to forget about the skins losing season. Even then I still never really forget. it's always in the back of my mind. I guess I'm a masochist. for some reason I can't turn off my passion for the skins no matter how bad they are. It's funny though. I stopped watching the O's, the Zards, and the Caps years ago.

Well guys I'm looking forward to this draft. More than anything.

we need to keep spurrier and edwards, firing them will be a mistake, changing offensive or defensive schemes would only serve to set this team back 3 to 4 more years, lets bring in a offensive line coach (can anyone say Russ Grimm) and possible a defensive line coach and a linebacker coach.
then the front office needs to address the defensive line, which does not mean bring in high salary guys like kearse or sapp!!!
we need quality not cap killers!! and lets focus on having a good draft and for once maintain some continuity.

Makes me wonder what you would do if the news came back that Snyder was selling the team to Joe Gibbs. :D
