Let me give some advice to Dan Snyder if he drops by this board.
WHOEVER coaches the Skins next year....head coach....offensive line coach....defensive coordinator...etc. Let coaches make the decisions on personnel.
When a cook goes into a kitchen, you don't give him whatever ingredients you decide on and then tell him to make his world famous soufle' or delicious award winning cake. A professional cook or artist must use the ingredients THEY are most familiar with in order to be successfull.
So for instance....hire a defensive coordinator...and then ask that coordinator what he needs and who he needs to be successful. Don't get him great corners and then tell him to generate a great pass rush.
Don't get him 3 pro bowl linebackers and then tell him we want to protect against the hail mary. Ask your coaches WHO and WHAT they need in order to be successful. Don't go get a Dave Fiore, who is injured and still healing, and then tell your offensive coordinator to protect the QB with an expensive free agent with a gimpy leg. Why not let the COACH choose the free agent and then the responsibility is all theres.l
The meddling has to stop. Owners put out the money.
GM's work out contracts and details with the coach and players.
Coaches decide which players fit the system.
