Cerrato Demoted??

It was reported 1-2 months ago that Snyder was working on an extension for Cerrato. I find it funny that he has yet to sign anything given the fact that they are such great buddies and no one else wants him. I am holding out some hope that the lack of progress and Cerrato's deal expiring on Sunday leads Dan to look at others next week.

I think the fact that they are good buddies is the reason why there isn't a rush.

Exactly Mike. Some say there willk be a deal between Spurrier and Snyder, some say Cerrato may be fired, bullcrap! Snyder and Cerrato are tight, Cerrato is tight with the entire Snyder family and is going no where. Cerratio will get his extension and in myy opinion, will get more control over the club.

I don't know - Danny and Vinny might be good friends but Danny is not a stupid businessman. Another year has gone by and the results are not getting any better. ...... We may all be surprised in the next few weeks.

Well, so far he hasn't shown me any business sense about the Redskins. Now I'm not ragging on him about his player selections - though some have been atrocious - but more his incessant meddling with the day-to-day operations of the team.
Financially, he still has a very profitable franchise. And we as fans can do very little to register our displeasure on a financial level….
However, I just don’t think he has exhibited a level of ownership that warrants his continued control of the franchise. Pride, performance, professionalism… are not part of this great and storied franchise anymore.

I tend to agree with this.

Let's not forget, Snyder allowed Marty to kick Cerrato to the curb. Control or no control, if Snyder had that much affection for Cerrato he would have told Marty that wasn't even a possibilty.

Snyder would can Cerrato like a bad habit. Screw all this family nonsense, the same thing happened w/ Norv. He and and his wife went everywhere w/ them and the moment he had enough w/ losing he canned his ass like stone.

Disagree. Norv went where Norv was told to be. Snyder was never fond of Nrov. Cerrato though is a close personal firend of Danny and family. Cerrato I doubt will be going anywhere. Nobody at Redskins Park understood the Salary Cap more than Joe Mendes, but Mendes and Cerrato were at odds, and look around and see who is employed in Ashburn VA, Redskisn Park,and look who is not.

This defintely needs to be addressed. Neither one of the two has any professional experience in things such as drafting and player evaluation. I don't care that Vinny won a national championship with Notre Dame, he didn't recruit and he didn't coach. And most of all isn't he supposed to be some type of Salary Cap Guru (I'm pretty sure it was him, but it also could have been Joe Mendes but I'm not sure), and aren't we having salary cap problems with some of the players? Hmmm.....
