Others - Mike Turner. He's going to be around in the second, maybe third round of this years draft, and by most of the so-called experts (and I agree with this one) could be the best sleeper of the draft. In fact, I consider him a "can't miss" prospect and would put him along the lines of a S.Davis (who didn't turn out to be a bad gamble for us) coming out of college.

No running back before round four... It dosen't make sense to have a good running back if you defense can't get the offense the ball back

I picked Stephen Jackson. I personally still think we should go D-line. But if we're going to get a RB I think we should trade down. Because I don't live in the are I haven't seen much of Kevin Jones, but from what I here Jackson's the real deal.

I picked Chris Perry. I think he is a Warrior...and should be available in the late 1st or early 2nd round.

And that's a point to consider but remember we will be in a "NEW" system which may require a quality back. Fourth round gamble on RB ....... Bruce Perry out of MD, just got to worry about the durability issue, but worth a gamble.

If we wait until the 2nd round to pick a RB, I wouldn't mind Greg Jones out of FSU.

He would be a steal in the 2nd round. Like Clinton Portis was two years ago.

That's exactly what I think. Perry would be a great addition to this team.

D first then get a halfback. WE NEED A D so we don't complain about it next year.

If I had my choice, it would be Stephen Jackson. He's 6'3, 235, has great hands out of the backfield and runs very hard. He really punishes his opponent. I predict him being a top 5 running back in this league.

I agree skinsCT. He is the best RB prospect in the draft. I think he will be a franchise back for many years. I would not mind drafting him. I don't think that we would be able to trade down very far and still take him

Chris Perry, in the second. Workhorse.

if i honestly had to pick a good RB i would say pick one that is fast and that can pound the ball in there and that can run through the trenches...Chris Perry or Kevin Jones would definately be my 2 canidates, both would fit into Gibbs's Offensive scheme.

I only wish Chris Perry would be available in the 2nd. But you are talking about a runner-up in the Heisman race and he will have too much exposure with even a decent individual workout for a team such as Arizona to pass up in the 2nd..

Hey petman um what you should do is know the players on the team and know the roster of the WHOLE team and know that we dont need a RB. Go and count how many times they ran the ball. K then know that we have a RB named Sultan McCoullough no he wasnt drafted but he made the team because they seen something in him that might help the team. Aparentlly they didnt because they forgot him just like the rest of the RB's the dood is a stud . he ran a 4.3 40 hes 6'0 210 I'm not tryng to jump down anybodys throut here I'm new but if you were able to watch every game last year like I was able to you wouldnt be drafting a RB right now. They have a great oppurtunity right now to get a DL man in this draft. And if they Francshise Bailey and cant keep him, they have another pick in the first round, possiably picking up a Rb with that pick, But I wouldnt let Harris or wilfork, or udeze slip to far, or there screwed as far as getting a run stopper n thier like those three can. peace. I'm not pissed at the thread I'm pissed that alot of people think a RB rght now would help. Rb's dont takle Rb's dont put our Offense on the field
Defemse does that and right now we need some defense badly. peace

i know he is good but even the scouts said he is good but they also said he is injury prone and i did watch all the games i even recorded all of them and none of the runnningbacks were consistant other than rock in those few games he was in man the redskins would o f been better off with kenny watson at running back so i think u need to watch the games alittle closer and i cant say that i dident think sultan would be bad maby they wont release him and give him a chance and maby he will be the future but for now the redskins need a runningback to me and maby some other people

I would keep Sultan over Trung. I would draft Kevin Jones. I like the pounding that a Greg Jones would provide but I just think that Kevin Jones is a gem and I would love to see him run for us. I keep saying I think he could do for us what L. Thomlinson does for the Chargers. The guy is a playmaker. I can't stress it enough.

I think running back is an issure, but not as big an issue as people make it. Rock is a solid back. He can run from fullback or halfback, and I wouldn't mind seeing a little old schoool football with a running fullback. You can't write ladell off so soon. He has done well while he was in, and he can't controll if he breaks his arm. I wouldnt mind seeing him play a little tuffer though. So I say draft in the second or third and keep our first for dline.

i hope to hell we don't draft a running in the first round (not at 5 least) if we must have a first rounder then i suggest that we try and trade down
if not wait till the second and take the best available defensive player (most likely taylor the safety out of miami)

hope to hell greg jones will be available at the top of the second round

I still stay get Duce Staley then draft a DL-man. I if not a DL, definately go after Taylor. He's a beast. We need a a Roy Williams type of hitter back there. I also say Greg Jones if he's available in the second....love his power and swiftness..

Personally, Stephen Jackson's physical traits cannot be ignored. 6'3"? Run him in motion out of the backfield, near the red zone, get him one on one, and run a fade route to him. At 6'3", he could just out jump some people. Seriously, the dude is a stud. He has hands and blocking ability. That is one thing that Kevin Jones does not do that well, but when you can run like he can, just give him the damn ball.

Realistically, the RB's we have a shot at are going to be Greg Jones, Cadillac, and maybe, just maybe Perry.
