I think we should trade up if we can and take Sean Taylor, Miami. This kid is something speacial and him arrington and smoot we will be set. I the second take a DE, And try to get warren sapp in FA. Same thing with running back try to get kevin barlow here or Rudi! Johnson! First lets get a coach in the name of dennie green.
If we get Dennie I think he might take a rb such as Kevin Jones, Virginia Tech. If we get Fassel we might take kelen winslow to use like a shockey. But time will tell.

1) Trade up from the 5th overall selection to take a safety?? A safety with an undesirable attitude at that ..

2) Rudi Johnson won't be available. He's an RFA and Cincinatti will tender him high with Corey Dillon on his way out.

What he said. If anything we should trade down for Sean Taylor and not that he's not worth a top 10 pick, but we can't afford that.

I said take Kevin Jones. i know there are folks that disagree but if we were at 8 I don't think we would get him. I don't want to trade down to hope he is still there. I really think opposing defenses will respect this guy with our "retooled" OLine.

To me it depends largely on who we pick up in free agency.Thats why we first have to get a coach that players want to play for.

I think we need D- line but Sean Taylor would be the best.

Depends on free agency and if we have another first-rounder thanks to Champ.

I agree that D-line is a need, but I have read reports where Wilfork's weight is of concern. I also think that our new coach, whoever he is, will put greater emphasis on the run and a RB is a good idea. The 5th pick will not only give you a potential immediate impact player in the first round, but also the second.

I don't think that we can trade down and still get Sean Taylor. I think he is worth a #5 pick. We may have another 1st round pick if we lose Champ. With that pick we could go DL or RB.

Wilfork-went to school with a pro team...miami he knows how to play and he's quite big...

Trade Down (if there are any takers). We can still get a good DT prospect 10 - 25 who would be able to start next year. Depending on the additional second or third we pickup, go for a DE and RB. I'd be shooting for Starks, Ball, Turner. AND if we can't make the trade down - Wilfork .... T. Harris played himself right out of a top five pick last night - IMO.

Right .. LSU's no Virginia Tech

It seems like one Miami game has you loving all the players all over again after weeks of wilfork bashing and admitting your team blew it this year. Hate on OU all you want .. I would've loved to see Berlin play catch with our secondary.

I don't want Wilfolk.... He is fat and slow but Wilfolk fat and slow is better than Harris has looked recently. As far as me bashing other Miami player? Taylor is the best player comeing out this year period....

It isn't how you start the year it is how you finish

I said trade down , but would looke to draft Sean Taylor at the fifth spot.

I see that some draft people think we will be taking Kellen "the Soldier" Winslow Jr. with our pick. What do you guys think

Couldn't agree more on Taylor and all of a sudden this year's draft isn't as D-lineman stocked as the last few so maybe that is the way to go. There are also plenty of potential Kris Jenkins' and Shaun Rogers' sitting in the 2nd round. Plus there are also some nice DE's in free agency.

Sean Taylor is our best pick at #5. He has the best chance of becoming an impact player soon

Unless Sean Taylor can stuff the run at the line of scrimmage, bull rush through an offensive tackle, or grind out four yards in a heavy jumbo package, I don't think he's our best choice.

Kevin Jones or trade down---I need a Gibbs hat-----------

If you want a d-line man the best at number 5 would be to sign Adewale Oguneye and lose the pick. He's better then any d-line men in the draft. he is a class act on and off the field and liked by teamates. he is young (26) and just entering his prime.Led the afc in sacks and is great against the run also, an every down d-line man. he is a safer player then any draft pick would be. If you don,t sign him there is no d-line man worth the five pick so you take taylor if avalible.

Pick Udeze from USC....he's the best DE prospect in years!!!! He will turn out to be a monster DE!

kaiser

trade down and draft Udeze or Wilfolk. If Wilfolk can lose 20lbs, then I'm sure w/ the right coach he'll be a monster! Udeze is already close to being a monster!

BigCountry

I wouldn't spit at a trade down for Udeze, but I also have a feeling that his stock might rise enough with a good workout. Remember the last guy that was 280 and blazing fast? Julius Peppers. Udeze isn't as tall or as athletic but his knows how to get to the QB very well. Greg Jones in the 2nd round is becoming an idea that I'm growing more and more fond of.

You know, there are MANY experts out there that are saying that after the Combines, Randy Starks will grade out as the fastest and strongest DT in this draft. ........ Just something to think about.

I think the Skins should take whomever they feel is the better DT prospect after workouts with their staff. This will likely be Starks or Harris. DT's tend to go quickly in the draft and the Skins may have to take a player at what seems a couple spots too high but is actually "the going rate". Then they should trade their second rounder for Corey Dillon. Dillon is a proven commodity who was overshadowed by Rudi Johson's emergence, but still has game. Dillon would thrive as a feature back with Gibbs and this could end up being franchise turning trade much like when the Rams stold Marshall Faulk for a second rounder.

I was never a big Tommie Harris fan because I hate OU, but the more I see of him, the more I think he could be a big help to us on the D-line. With his 4.6 speed he could play DE or DT.

A Tommie Harris/Corey Dillon package would be an excellent haul for the skins in the first couple rounds. Add a quality center (Ben Wilkerson?) in the third round and I think the team is in pretty good shape.

I would agree with nflman. The D line in the draft will not be impact for a few years. It takes them a few years to get strong enough. It would be better to get DL in FA. DRAFT TAYLOR
