Enough of who we want, time to ante up and tell us WHO YOU THINK, will be the next Redskisn head Coach. Feel free to respond via thread as well as post in poll. We are assuming that one of three will get it.

I chose Rhoads because Snyder likes him alot, hima nd Cerrato get along,a nd Rhoads will not rock the boat, which is what Snyder wants.

I went with Rhodes, too, because the other options don't make sense to me. Dennis Green would be perfect, but I doubt he is stupid enough to serve under an amateur GM and I don't think Snyder has suffered enough to want to step away from the day-to-day management of team personnel. Fassel, too, I think will have better offers than serving under an amateur GM. If the Rhodes thing falls through I think a dark horse assistant coach will emerge.

I like Fassel out of the three but I wouldn't be surprised if Snyder announced, at any time, some fly-by-night hiring of some coach on nobody's list. Just seems like that's the way it would be in Daniel Burns' world. Exccceellllent Vinny!

I've had mixed feelings on all three of these guys during this interview process...

I've never been a fan of Fassell. I've seen him blow too many leads, and that is a trait our team is trying to shed.

I don't think Rhodes is head coach quality. He excels at the D.Coordinator position...and I don't think he is up for the challenge this team poses in the way of discipline.

D. Green is my favorite of the group. I still question his involvement with the Randy Moss/Chris Carter situation in Minneapolis...but I'm hoping he has learned from that. Another reason I like Green is the fact that we could hire a standout DC to take care of the D. Two great minds, both with experience, are needed in Washington.

I voted for Fassell only becasue I want him to sign, I don't think he will. Would you come to this franchise as a head coach?

Who do I Think will get it: Jim Fassell
Is he the best of the three: No
Will the Redskins return to the playoffs and the SuperBowl with Jim Fassell: Very unlikely!
Are any of the three going to return the Redskins to the playoffs and the SuperBowl: NO!

I voted for Fassell, I'm just not a big fan of the other two especially Rhodes, this Good Ol' Boy network crap has got to stop. I personally welcome a little debate in "our" front office just because of the two idiots in our front office. Although I would like to see some other candidates come in.

Yes, just to clarify, this post is about who you think will be the next Redskins head coach, not who you want to be the next head coach. Vote with your brain, please, not your heart.

Hopefully it will be none of the above... But if I had to choose one of those three I will pick Rhodes because he will make Lavar play his position or but his overpaid #ss on the bench

Dennis Green is far, very far from being a diciplinairian.

Agreed, but if you change it to playoffs *OR* Super Bowl, I think Green is certainly capable. I posted earlier that even Jeff "leadership is overrated" George and Randall "I was very good but played waaay too long" Cunningham saw good production under Green. Now, I will admit, it may have nothing to do with Green (much like praising/criticizing President for the economy), but I think Denny could take us to the playoffs which is light years ahead of where we are and have been for much of the last 10 years. I would take him.

Since you said who do I think and I don't think it'll be one of those, I'll say someone from somewhere.

Seems most cant read here... even after Spence reminded everyone to vote with their brains and not their heart... still seems the next few posts were all from the heart... no logic was provided at all.

That being said... I think Jim Fassel will get the job... Danny likes the big name and he is the #1 wanted guy right now. Also - this reasoning about Jim not working for an amateur GM is hogwash... Danny has money, and money talks.

I agree with Skinzaholic I think Jim will get the job, But with my heart I want jim to come hear b/c I think he can make the skins contend instead of pretend.

I think Fassel, even though I want Green.

Want Green, but believe it'll be Fassel.

Green. I can hope, right?

Edit: beyond hope, he is the biggest name and by far the flashiest pick.

I don't know enough about these men to decide with my heart so it will be totally from my head!

Jim Fassell, because of what I've been reading.

From Washingtonpost.com:"Jim was extremely impressed with Dan and his organization. He was pleasantly surprised about how businesslike Dan went about the meeting, how prepared they were. "

I don't think Green or Fassel will take the job...

Green wants more control than Snyder wants to give. I don't think Fassel will want the job either. Fassel is the hottest name on the coaching carousel right now. He will be coaching somewhere, but not in DC. I think he is looking at the graveyard of Daniel Snyder head coaches and won't put himself through that. With Fassel and Green out of the picture I think he will end up going after Jauron. He has NFL experience and his players didn't quit on him. Snyder is not the kind of owner who will want an unproven coach (Spurrier being the exception). Jauron wants to coach again and he will take the Skins job if offered.

no, I just was just making sure as I had posted since Spence's comment. I'm usually not a very defensive person. I don't take any real offense anyway. It's a message board...bigger battles to fight...but seriously, "informative", you don't have to flatter a knucklehead such as myself.:D
