Having watched Wilfork and Harris play, I'm not sure either are worth a top 5 pick. Moreover, I don't think Jones or Jackson is worth a top 5 pick either.

We have to upgrade DT through FA or trade down. If we don't trade down and pick at 5, I think Winslow (TE) or Taylor (S) is the pick.

Of course, we could trade the #5 for Dillon. I personally would think that is a bad move, but what do I know?

28, trade the 5th overall pick for Corey Dillon? Is that what your saying? No way.

Because they are not. Frankly, we are crazy to think that either of these two players will fix our DL problem and we would be stupid to use the fifth overall selection on them. Many have said their production sinks because they are oft double teamed; guess what: if they can’t blow up a double team in college, then they sure as hell won’t beat a pro guard, let alone two. You spend a high pick on someone who gets all the attention and still comes up big. I am in agreement that Taylor and Winslow are really who we should be looking at, though I assume that my opinion will change…

Dillon - NO WAY!

I also agree that Wilfork and Harris may both be a reach at overall #5. Right now Jones would make more sense. Remember that we will need a running game to keep our defense off the field more. I think we may get a DT in round #2.

I would use the 5th pick on a new owner...can we do that? :D

I am not advocating trading the #5 for Dillon. I'm just saying with our owner, it is possible.

Both Jones and Jackson (Especially Jones) are worth the 5th pick. They have been impressive all year.

I agree.

Not only that but Harris and Wilfork are IMO without a doubt worth the 5th overall pick, while somebody like Sean Taylor would be great to have, and if we have 2 first rounders I would definitly support picking him, we can't pass up a position of greater need for a position where wd have a lesser need. Harris and Wilfork will both be good NFL tackles. This team would be crazy to pass either of them up in the first round.

I would love to have dillion, but the only thing that would bug me about him is his character that would be the only thing that would hold me back.

dillon is also going to be 30 yrs old and has been heavily used.

jones or jackson are the best bet for us as far as a RB unless we could get Barlow.

If we're gonna use our fifth-rounder on a back, why bring in a guy who's 30 and has a TO attitude when we can just draft someone?

First of all it is not going to take a 5th overall to get Dillon. He will be unloaded for a lot less than that. Second I think sean Taylor and Steven Jackson are both worth a #5. We can take care DL in the FA market. Sean taylor should be our first choice.

1. Taylor
2. Jones
3. Wilfork
4. Harris
5. Jackson

That's how i'd call it before all the garbage post season events. I think that Jones will sky rocket with an impressive offseason of workouts.

I'd say Taylor or Jones. If not, trade down.

Trade down (if possible). There is alot of talent in the frist two round, WHICH 95% of "those guys" will need a year (maybe two) of development. It would be in our best interest to end up with at least 3 of these guys. ............... We are not suppose to be rebuilding but I don't feel we are a "few players" away either.

I predict Udeze will be drafted ahead of both Wilfork and Harris - as we get closer to the draft, he's going to move up the board.

I don't know why we are talking about a 1 for Dillon. It will not take that to get him. They don't want him at all. They may cut him. They would give him up for a 2nd maybe a 3rd. they want to get ride of him.

DL in FA is the way that the DL will be better next year. It take a few years to DL player to develop. There are very DL in FA. Both at DT and DE. I would like to get

DT
Griffin and/or Robare Smith
DE
D Howard and/or kearse or E hicks
