Hi Mr. Mueller,
Thanks for using my question in your mailbag. I guess I wasn't to far off with Steve Spurrier "going away". My question now is do you think it would be best for Dan Snyder to do like Jerry Jones and let someone else come in and run the operation as far as player and personnel moves? The Redskins need a coach they can respect just as the Cowboys did and look where that got them. Jerry Jones backed off and let a football guy in and things have turned out for the better. Is it time for Dan Snyder to remove himself from the equation?

Brannon,
I totally agree that they need to hire a guy who will be respected by the players. The problem is the owner thinks he's that guy. It's his prerogative to act as he likes but it's been proven that the open door policy with ownership has had mixed results over the years.
I think the coach needs to be in charge. I'm not sure how decisions are made with Vinny Cerroto and Daniel Snyder on one side and the coach on the other. I'd just like to see them have a plan and stick to it. It seems like every disagreement they have gets publicized and blown up in front of the media's eyes. Other teams have these same issues but seem to manage them behind closed doors better. It becomes a soap opera in D.C. too often.
