hmmm I agree about Jacobs but I dissagree on Dockery. He obviously struggled early but he got a lot better as the season wore on. As the season went on we heard his name less and less and as he's an O-lineman that's good.

Factoring in Coles and Morton make it a"B" at the very least.Dockery as stated above played much better as the season wore on.Jacobs was a very bad pick.I realize he may prove to be decent. However for this season alone he seems like another in a long line of FLA wide out disappointments.Doss would have done more this season and played nicely beside Bowen IMO.But we generally seem to make a bad call or two after the 1st round(see Ladell Betts).

Yeah. I think he has greatly improved and will be a force in upcoming seasons. Jacobs' story is just infortunate with his freak injury. When he played, he looked great with some spectacular catches against dallas!

Exactly with the exeption of 2 players Rock and Dock this team hasn't drafted anybody worth it after round 1.

Ladell betts! LADELL FREAKIN' BETTS!

How funny is it that the rounds that go wrong for us are the ones that Snyder hands over to the scout team. We've actually done great in the first round the last few years. I think hindsight might show we would have been better off taking Casey Hampton in the 1st round and Chris Chambers in the 2nd and Snyder wasn't even running that draft. However, I'm sure nobody can complain about Arrington, Samuels, Bailey and Ramsey.

I don't see the justification for the Betts bashing. One season of injuries does not constitute a trend. He's shown some good flashes when healthy. I give him another season before I get negative on him.

The way I had graded it out in my mind:
Jacobs ........ F
Dockery .......B
Hamdan...... Incomplete.

Total grade .......... C-

I think giving Jacobs and F and Hamdan an incomplete is just being unfair to a player because he's from florida.

Sorry - But in the NFL, you're graded on production ("What have you done for me lately?") with little consideration given to potenial. And injury is part of life in the NFL. Jacobs coming from Florida has nothing to do with - He could have been from Maryland and I would have given him a F. Hamdam wasn't given an opportunity to do anything so that why I give him an Incomplete. Just how I see it.

Well...I do think Jacobs needs more playing time before we can call him a bust.

I am also one of those who thought Doss would be a better pick, but afterwards, I was under the impression Jacobs was be a steal. However, WRs rarely make waves until season 3...so I'll give the kid some time to mature and actually get some playing time to show us what he has.

It's not as if he has run routes incorectly, or dropped 80% of his passes. He simply hasn't been on the field enough to see him. You never know, him and Coles could be the next great WR tandem. I think this year we will get a better look at him.
