OK, you all know me, I do one of these every 2-3 months...now that we have Gibbs, and Bugel with Williams possibly on the way, how do you think our beloved Skins will finish next year?

oops...mods, can you please edit this poll so that the last two read 7-9 and 6-10, not 7-8 and 6-9. I was in a rush...sorry.

well, to tell the truth, only time can tell... because though we have gibbs now... we still have that defensive line to patch up and that stud running back needed for the Gibbs Freight Train.... but i went with 10-6 for the fact that he needs to brush off the dust and do his thing

We have Bugel?

What's this..?

Do tell..!

Well i went with 9-7 as that is a big enough improvement as it is and do not want to let my hopes get to carried away.

Poll edited...

Before I vote I would like to see the schedule, not just who we're playing but when we're playing them....
Wild a$$ guess would be, with no personnel changes, 9- 7

as far as I have seen here Bugel was hired as our Oline coach.

I know it's early...but that's the point. I will do another after the draft, and another before the season. Just want to see how optimistic our group is.

I voted for 10-6...if Parcells can go from 5 wins 3 straight season to a 10 win season, so can the Skins with Gibbs.

I said 10-6. We need that big hoss running back.
I read that Bugel is assistant head coach, I'm not sure if those duties include offensive coordinator or offensive line coach as well.

This is pretty early... so I cant even put together a guess.

OK - This is where we get our hope up way too high. I understand everyone is excited - HELL, I'm excited but let's not get carried away. This team needs work and Gibbs is going to need ALOT of cooportation from Danny. Don't get you're hope so high only to be let down next season. There are more reasons at this point for Gibbs NOT to suceed. Let's see how the off season develops first. There's alot do be done between now and the frist day of training camp. ....................... REMEMBER, Gibbs has been away from the game for quit awhile (and his frist year as a coach only resulted in a 8-8 season).

voted 10-6, but I have no clue.

I also voted 10-6.
Maybe more of a heart vote than a head vote, but.......Gibbs is back and he is a true master.

If parcells came back to the cowboys and won. Skins come back from the dead and go 11-5 with my gibbs!

Man you all saw how I voted this year...I think I was a 10-6 er the whole dang season...so you know I'm clueless!

I'll be conservative for our first year, I'll say 8-8

What do you mean "Only". At this point that will be more than welcome.

Come on now...that does not sound like a true "AGIBBSGIRL" comment. It's ok to get excited!

It's very early, but I voted 10-6, given we re-sign Champ.

I'm not even going to vote. It's way too early.

I agree with Mark May and Mark Schereth...9 wins minimum, with health closer to 11-12

i said 9-7, since this is an early prediction. im waiting for the draft/offseason before i think we will get a playoff caliber record. it takes more than just coaching alone to win, just as the cowpukes showed in their humiliating loss to carolina.

11-5 and playoff bound

JoeDaSchmoe

9-7. I said this last year and just look what happened. Maybe someday I'll learn, but hopefully I'll be right before that day comes.

We have far more talent than the Cow-Pukes did when Parcells arrived-....Besides we lost a total of 7 game by LESS 7pts.....And we all know that Gibbs is no fool-he may be gone from football some 11yrs yet he KNOWS to surround himself with the best and some of the brightest......Hmmmm.........All that a we had a horrible coaching staff????

With a couple personnel changes we could easily become a team to reckon with in the NFC East.

We are a Team READY to break out!!!!!!!

19-0.

And no messing...

Guys went with 10&6, early yes! unfounded for sure! unrealistic expectation? Wishfull thinking, no doubt! BUT THAT"S THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL!!(Gibbs) As a Skins fan I can root and dream with my heart!!!!!!!!!Not the required mind of the last 10 years!!!! This is what I need from Joe, 3 and 3 vs the east! 10 wins minimum and a shot at the playoffs every year!!! Atleast keep our interest past Nov.! Note to Joe please win opening day!

yeah they do. This is why I like to do them every 3 months or so. So much can change.
Had I run this poll the day the season ended (with the thoughts Spurrier was being retained) we'd all be looking at 7-9 as the most likely record. (alot including myself saying 5-11 or so though) Amazing what a good coaching staff will do to spirits.

That's what I've been saying. We have a lot of talent, but no one to pull on the riens and guide them. Now we do.

Just keep this in mind. Joe Gibbs career record is 140-65 (.683%)
.683% in the NFL now-a-days translates to 10.9 wins a season. That's nearly 11 wins a season for his AVERAGE. With a talented team already in place and the SKins already 8.6 mil under the cap, I like our chances.

When Joe Theismann said on Fox Sports last night that the Gibbs announcement was a bigger story than that of the upcoming playoff games, I had to smile in agreement. It's true for me, anyway. Everything else is just trivia. I can't wait to get these games (incl. the StuporBowl) over and done with, so we can gear up for the Redskins' new season.

Anyway, I voted 8-8. Gibbs is a genius, no doubt, but I think it'll take some time to get everything ironed out. I will be satisfied just to see these guys play with discipline and heart.

Good question. Whoever did it probably won't come forward but there are ways to find out who it was. In the meanwhile, this is going to the archives.
