I would wait and see how things go early in free agency then decide how to use our picks. If we can upgrade the DL and TE in free agency then my 1st pick would be on a RB or maybe trade down but not past the 10 or 11 pick to get another pick or two.
I would take one of the three big RB in the draft as soon as we can, plus I think we could use an upgrade at saftey but it is not a major need this year. One more thing that we need to do in the draft or free agency is get a punter, Barker is to inconsistant.

Boo Williams from New Orleans is one. We may not draft one but I hope we get a good punter. I got so tired of us looking at the two punters before the draft all the time and when it come down to the end, they both got cut and we didn't pick one up. I believe they where Bernard who is with the Bears now and Groom, I think he's still available, give him a shot.

I think we can get better DL help in FA. There are better TE in the draft than FA. the same goes fro RB.

If we dont address the d-line through FA then it would be a mistake IMO.There is talent out there,proven talent.get your RB through the draft unless someone good is cut.Also unless a TE is cut that will need to come from the draft as well.Punters can be found if we just make an effort

Four picks with the #5 overall. Nothing at the top (that we need) worth a #5. Trade down get a low #1 (or 2 #1s), #2, and a '05 #2 or #3.

There is plenty at #5 that we need. We need RB, TE, S. I think these three can be found at 5. Winslow will battle every year with shockey for the pro bowl.

I don't think they will trade down to get more picks. I think that we will by trading player for more picks(Gardner). Keep in mind we still don't know if Champ wants to come back. I want hiim to stay but if he doesn't we will have another first round pick maybe more.

I am kind of on the fence about trading Gardner. I think he makes the most sense to trade, especially if you are a fan of McCants and think Jacobs will pan out.

He drops way too many passes, but he can be an asset as a number 2. He could hold on extra points and FG's if he wasn't such a threat to drop the ball, because he can throw.

I don't see us getting a 2nd round pick out of him, unless Marty drops David Boston out in sunny SD.

Its very hard to make any sort of prediction as to what will happen before Free Agents start signing....Hopefully we can add Kearse, Sapp, Ahanatu or Wistrom. If that is the case, pick 5 i take the best OL and wait and get a good TE or RB in the other rounds because the draft seems to be stacked with them.
