Nice to hear about discipline
"MORT REPORT: ESPN's Chris Mortensen said yesterday that the Redskins "would have hired Ray Rhodes if Joe Gibbs had not fallen in their lap."
Also on "Sunday NFL Countdown," Michael Irvin said he talked to some unnamed Redskins players on the second coming of Gibbs: "They were so thirsty for some discipline they will drink every word out of his mouth."
Joe Theismann: "If the Redskins don't win 10 football games next year, I'll really be surprised."

I think ABC needs to hire Irving and put him in the MNF booth.

Patrick, ESPN and ABC are affiliates, so he already works for them.....But I can't stand him. I wish they would fire him and bring back Sterling Sharpe....

Sterling and Michael are of the same mold. Love them or hate them, they'll both tell you like it is.

Michael Irvin, Dieon Sanders... the broadcast media can do without both of them !

Irvin says more of interest than Sharpe. I think he is, in some ways, the weakest of the bunch on ESPN, but he's been better than I expected. Some days he beats the stuffing out of Steve Young even when Young is right and Irvin is wrong.
To me, though, Tom Jackson is the best of them all. He is almost always right and says what he wants to say without making an ass of himself. A first-rate football broadcaster all the way.

I couldn't disagree more. I think Jackson is a blowhard who is rarely right. Any time he made a prediction about a player or game this year, I called my bookie and bet against it.

LOL Dave
I think Tom is the best of the bunch as well, and I think Irvin Stinks!!! He is always yelling at me. I liked Sterling because he was knowledgable and articulate. Something that Irvin is not. AND, I only had to deal with a few references about himself telling us all how great he was..........With Irvin I get it every 5 minutes.....and he wasn't half the WR Sterling Shapre was to boot!!!

Ha ha. Actually, the over the top drama queen sobbing he did the week after Rush ran his mouth didn't help me like him any. "This was a very difficult week for me and my family" Oh barf.

Sharpe is back on "NFL Playbook" on the NFL network. It's not the same though, he doesn't get along with his co-host's like he used to with the ESPN crew.

I think that is information that should be private between Rush and his multiple "pain managers". :D

Here is a snippet from PFW whispers,
One of the hallmarks of Gregg Williams’ past defenses has been using a lot of man coverage, and sources close to the Redskins say that the new defensive coordinator might push for owner Dan Snyder to re-sign CB Champ Bailey, who can handle that duty as well as or better than anyone the team could find in the draft or through free agency.

Keeping Champ = good
Joe Gibbs > Ray Rhodes by a factor of at least 10.
Mark May > Michael Irvin > Deion
'>' = better than.

I like Irvin more than most, I guess. He might be a loudmouth with a big ego, but he gives it to you straight. He's right more often than you'd think he would be.

I do not have a problem with Irvin but Tom is the best of the bunch. For some reason I watch teh Fox guys even though I can not stand Bradshaw, would love to see Howie roll his butt. Really like JB

What Happened to Sterling? I cant stand Irvin he is a blowhard who talks too much about himself. Tom Jackson is the best analysyst on the program.

ESPN is the best. Always. CBS is [usually] boring and FOX is run by witless dopes who think volume = entertainment.

Yeah Espn is the least of the Skins bashers. Terry annoys me more then any other sports figure.

ESPN was getting bad but once Snyder hired back Vinny, they lightened up, I guess for his sake.
