This is a poll which has some merits... but not unless you pull yourself away from the glorious past and really take a look at the Skins.
Sure, Gibbs was a master back in the day... but is it really beneficial to just rehash those days with all of the older crowd?
What do you think?

I voted yes. The defense looks like it will be staffed with younger guys, but the offense will be Gibbs veterans. No problem there. Not all of these guys have been out of the NFL as long as Gibbs has. Bugel was the offensive line coach with the Chargers, I believe, at least until Marty arrived there. These guys are proven veteran coaches of the NFL. They know how things are done.
After seeing the younger, inexperienced coaching staff we have had for the past two years, how could someone vote for retraining fresh meat. I prefer beating young meat the way Parcells and his group did this year!

Me too. I've gotten the impression that these guys know what they're doing still and have kept their eye's on the game.

we just had 2 years of the younger coaches, time for the "band" to return

It will be a mix of older and younger coaches. So the question isn't valid because it doesn't account for the mix of young and older coaches.

I voted yes. They know what they are doing. And they will bring us back to glory.

Gibbs isn't just hiring anybody. He has some proven coaches and some new ones. The thing I like is that he hasn't put an unproven guy in a huge position and let's the big dogs handle that one.

I agree. I didn't vote because it didn't account for the mixture of folks like Greg Williams and the few coaches that he bought with him.

I voted and I'm not taking my pants off either lol.We have talent here already.I was only 7 at the time but I bet the team gibbs took from pardee had less talent than this one.and he still went 8-8 lol. There is also a nice blend of veteran and young coaching talent on this staff.

Well, seeing as it's about time to shower, I think I actually will take my pants off. :D
And I voted yes, for all the reasons mentiooned above. We've seen young and fresh. It didn't work.

Gibbs is a good person and a good coach. His success is inevitable.

Mike, Kenny, and myself see this the same. There is no vote here because Gibbs is bringing in both. AND more important, I think he's also bringing in new assistant to each coach that they can also learn. It looks like he's grooming the next potenial coaching staff.

I voted YES ... we have not had a winning season since 1999 - how much worse can it really get?

The reason there is high expectation, even giddiness, is because we all believe that Coach Gibbs will bring back the glory! Reality says that a man who has been a winner will be a winner. That said, the mix of young and old is mandatory. I personally am more excited about the "New Redskins" that will be the product of the "Old Redskins" philosophy.
Kevin, I understand your thoughts.... But I ain't dropping my pants either!
The months that lead up to opening day are going to be the most exciting in the last 12 years!

Well - I must confess that I agree with all of you. (And my pants are on as well!). here is so much confidence in Coach Gibbs because he is very easy to have confidence in... and I am sure that this will be no different.
I also agree with the thought that he is grooming younger guys to take over... very smart!

The game of football itself has not changed...but the players and level of talent change constantly.
What you need, and what we have lacked, is a coaching staff with the ability to funnel talent and personalities into a well shaped unit.
This comes with aged experience as well as youthful enthusiasm...
Er...I don't get the whole thing about the underpants...exactly who are we flashing?http://www.the-jungle.net/emotes/flasher.gif

A little caution.... Some old and some new... Remember none of Gibbs deciples set the world on fire after leaving the skins to coach elsewhere
