Grimm finalist in OAK

Heard on WFAN in New York that Russ Grimm is one of two finalists for the Oakland job, with Mo Carthon from Dallas. If he doesn't get that job, maybe he comes to be the OC for the Skins.

He is also a finalist in Chicago, along with Lovie Smith, from what I hear.

All of this hullabaloo for a guy who has never called plays in the NFL. Why don't they let him work for Joe Gibbs for a couple of years as OC before trying to hire him as head coach?
