I find this interesting. Gibbs tried before to get him to join his staff once. I have mixed emotions on this one but HEY, if it works for Gibbs, who am I to question it.

This is fantastic news. Again, Gibbs (unlike some *ahem* recent coaches) is not afraid to admit that he isn't the alpha and omega of football knowledge and philosophy. He surrounds himself "with best minds he can find and gives them the tools to be successful" (to borrow from a Shula's SteakHouse ad :D).

Very exciting...

I like this a lot. My father and I were discussing the possibility of this over the weekend. Zampese is a natural. He'll help Gibbs and be great with the wideouts and quarterbacks. A very smart hire by the head coach. He's putting together an offensive coaching staff for the ages. And the aged.

Good fit imo....Zampese shares alot of the same idea Gibbs does.

This is looking a little like the staff Vermeil assembled when he came back to St. Louis.

Outstanding hiring by Mr. Gibbs. He seems intent on bringing in a veteran staff that has had success in the NFL. Gibbs is clearly hanging to his word of hiring the best staff there is. Great job.

The pieces are coming together. And for those of of you who quetion the hiring of "Old Guys" there is a great benefit based on expereince alone. I've heard the arguments that the NFL today is a young man's coaching game...i.e. Gruden, Mariucci, etc.. What makes the Redskins unique is that we have in our Head Coach, for the first time in a long time, a plan that draws on experince and adds creativity!

If players cant get pumped and play for these coaches..they need to be let go....plain and simple!

Ramsey should really love this move... QB's seem to flourish under the Zam-man.

Where has Zampese been recently? I saw on the main page he was in STL in 2002, but has he had any coordinator jobs in the last 5-8 years?

Reports are that it was a strokethat pushed Zambese into retirement... hope that doesnt make him fragile.

Gibbs will probably fly you over to Redskin Park when they start working on Corner Kicks and headers.

Not sure I can do that. I've just applied to be a punter for the Colts...

I think both jobs will leave you with plenty of free time.
