So as a representant from the "old europe" let me talk about two of the best damn soccer games:

Pro Evloution Soccer 3 (aka Winning Eleven 7 in Japan) from Konami : This game is the best simulation. It doesn't possess the official database of FIFA 2004 (from EA), but playability is the best.

Championship Manager 03/04: Soccer Management game. You are the GM and Head Coach. The more accurate database of the market. the game for statistic maniacs or how to lead your 3rd division club to top of the world.

Those 2 games have "unplugged" me from Madden.
If you like soccer and depending upon what you like to do (managing or "playing") those are the games you need.

Pro Evloution Soccer 3 -I heard this is the best game bar none but has a steep learning curve for non soccer fans. Beleive it or not I cant stand watching Soccer on the Tele but love to play it on my PS2.

the only problem is that u have to have quick fingers when you shoot because if u hold it down for longer than .3 seconds then it goes flying over the bar. fifa isnt very realistic but has more leagues and teams.

PES 3 is a very good game but it is true that being able to win on medium to hard levels asks for training, commitment and so on just as real sport. But once you start mastering it, it is awesome.
When beginning, you won't lose 8-0, maybe it will be 2-0 then you'll start making draws and then you'll strat to win. Learning curve is important.

I don't know TCM, but CM is ok for me. Next year will be interesting as EIDOS and SI have splitted. there will be a new managing game.

yeah, i wonder if the game will be a little more lively. cm is definately more detailed, but i dont think either si or eidos have enough money to compete with ea down the road.
