View Full Version : Need some advice

I buddy of mine has offered to take myself and the bar manager to the Eagles game. I almost feel obligated to root for the Eagles since he is taking me. Should I go out and purchase a # 90 Panthers jersey to wear just to upset the green and black? Or should I just go and be neutral(deep down cheering for the cats) otr I could go in the Burgundy and Gold Garb I own??? HMMMMMMMM!

Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. Unless you want to risk having a beer bottle broken across your skull, I think you should go to the game, not wear any provocative clothing, and cheer quietly for the Panthers.

For the sake of your immortal soul I do not recommend cheering for the Eagles. These moral choices do have consequences, you know.

Take this from experience my friend... do not wear your Skins stuff.. nor purchase a Panthers jersey. The Eagles fans are not very friendly and it will not be a pleasant time for you.

Take Spence's advice... cheer from within...

LMAO, Iggle fans are like hyenas. They pounce on you all at once. They want no parts of this dawg 1 on 1!!!!!

Well, Spence has a point. Rooting for the Eagles will just kill you. However, I would wear a Panthers Jersey, and be ready to battle. Give those Eagle fans hell. (oh - I am no way liable for hospitalization fees)

But it's your choice. I should warn you that no life insurance company will honor your policy if you should die attending any Philadelphia sporting event. In the legal field that's called assumption of the risk.

Can't you wear a No.48 Panthers jersey...?

Even better - when they play that Rocky theme tune before the game I reckon you should offer every single Eagles fan in eyesight outside.

Anything less and you would simply be neglecting your duty as a Redskin...

Dave, I would probably not wear anything. As you know down there the biggest risk will be in the parking lot where security is not visible, no cameras. And them eagles fans will be tanked a good 5 hours before kick-off. Whatever you do be carefull.

Yep. You got me there. We're all footie hooligans here in England.

That is, when we're not selling drugs to schoolkids, re-arranging furniture in houses while the occupants are out and setting fire to grannies...

Did you guys hear the one recently where the guy wrapped everything (I mean everything) in his buddy's apartment in aluminum foil while his buddy was out?

hehe - good one...

My cousin left us in charge of his house when he was in Australia a few years back. He came back to find the entire upstairs re-decorated with Bob The Builder wallpaper & accessories. He found it hilarious but his girlfriend went absolutely chicken oriental.

Good job too. She's the original PsychoBint From Hell (TM)...

I know Dave, and them iggle fans better have alot of back up if they mess with him. My nickname is Big Dave, and so was his. When we tailgate, I am still "Big Dave" but 91 is now known as "Monster Dave."

I say wear your full Redskins gear, and tell them iggle fans to "Kiss my cheesesteak." :lol1:

I've been telling all the eagles fans around here that they are the team of the 2000's, you know:

1970's Vikings
1980's Broncos
1990's Bills

and now you have the eagles, destined to always come close but to lose everytime.

"Chicken Oriental" is part of that loveable cockney rhyming-slang that us Londoners do so well.

(Maybe I should start a thread and teach you all one phrase a day)

Cockney: "Aw mate, she went well chicken oriental..."

English: "My word, she wasn't happy, in fact she went positively mental..."

Hey - been there, not a bad place. Friend of mind took me there after we went to the Skin/Eagle game a couple of years ago..... Better than a Panters jersey, find a S. Davis Redskin jersey - that will really stir up the place. ........ Good Luck.

I'm sticking with W. C. Fields on this one. To quote the man,
"Why, I was in Philadelphia once, (insert long pause here),
but it was closed! Ah yes..."

No wonder dem Iggles fans are so inhospitable. Here's hoping
you don't end up indehospitable.

If this was Veterans Stadium still, I would go to the game and be completely unbiased. However, Lincoln Field has changed the crowd somewhat, so I say go to the game in non-affiliated clothes but cheer loudly for the Redskins even though they have no connection the game.

CT, I have to say, that's a pretty damn hilarious idea.

"McNabb back to pass... looks left... pumps... and Julius Peppers takes him down!"

"That's what I'm talkin' about! Hail to the Redskins, baby!"

:D
