I picked Ramsey... he has amazing ability... and now has some coaching legends around him to bring out the best potential possible. I expect him to go far

Dockery because he has the best position coach in the NFL

Ramsey is the man!!! Now that Gibbs is back he'll prove to the rest of the NFL that we got the best QB out of the 2002 draft.

I voted ramsey as long as he is our QB and gibbs is coach we will protect him and surround him with weapons

I voted Ramsey, but I think Smoot and Dockery can make it to the Pro Bowl at some point. I don't think McCants has that potential.

Wow, tough list.
I picked Dockery because at season's end, I thought he was playing as well as anyone on our O line, all of that in spite of Kim Helton. I think we will have a true road grader at left guard when Joe Bugel gets done with him. I think the sky is the limit for Dockery.
McCants will be an excellent #3, maybe a good #2 with enough work in the right scheme. I think he lacks overall great, sprinter type speed to ever be in the L. Coles class.
Ramsey will be a good QB for us. Probably to stationary to be a star in today's NFL, although winning games is the final verdict for QB's in that regard.
I was tempted to pick Smoot. If he continues to hit the weights in the offseason like he did last year, he will get better at jamming receivers off the line and forcing the run.
At this point, Smoot and Dockery are a toss up to me, but I'll go with Dockery for the purposes of this poll and considering who Dockery's position coach is.

I picked Ram because if Gibbs can make Mark a superbowl QB I wonder what he can do with Ram!!

Peyton Manning, Co-MVP of the NFL, is a stationary QB and is the best passer in the league. I think Ramsey can be almost that good.

Honestly, they all do.
But I chose Smoot...he's the only one that is a legit pro-bowler (or almost pro-bowler) while all the others have a lot to work on.

The problem with positions like QB, CB & WR is that the player is always in a position to get hurt. While a guard position has a little more longevity…just very little notoriety! So I would go with Dockery for that reason but I don’t know enough about him really...So I’ll go with Ramsey, because I love what I see in him.

I voted Dockery...I think he has the most untapped potential of anyone on the list. People may hate on me for this, but I don't see Patrick Ramsey being a whole lot better than he is now (Which is pretty darn good), and it's well documented that I think Smoot Talks to much and his play rarely backs up his talking. In fact it may be close to accurate that I think that Smoot gets too much love from the Skins Faithful. While he showed alot of grit and heart last year, he STILL constantly gives up 3rd and Long plays due to Bad Cushions and Poor Bump & Run Technique....that may change with a legit pass rush.
McCants, I don't think will be much better than he is now, maybe just used a little more in the passing game. Still at best our 3rd WR.....

I voted Ramsey. Clearly he has the best chance to display his skills. It's very difficult to see how well a guard is playing until he pancakes someone or allows a sack.
As for Smoot, I can see that this board is a big fan of his. I on the other hand think that he hasn't lived up to the hype out of college. He has average speed and because of that plays behind the receivers 5 yards or more. I know Champ was burned a few times this year but at least he is up on the receiver.
However, I must admit that I did not see as many Redskin games as the rest of you because I live in an area that features the Carolina Panthers. So I must defer to some of the "regular game viewers" but I think Smoot stays an average corner during his career.

I would have agreed, but not now that Gibbs gave his full endorsement. If Gibbs could turn a subpar QB (Mark Rypien) into a SB star, then he can do so for Ramsey too. I expect big things from Ramsey now that Gibbs gave his stamp of approval.

I wouldv'e voted for SMoot, but I think he is already there. I voted for Ramsey. His arm gives the team a quick strike ability, so we are never really out of a game.

I picked ram, but that was tough because I think with Gibbs' system he will be a special offensive lineman

(I wouldn't mind trading Gardner for someone, and letting McCants be our #2, and Jacobs our #3)

Well, I'm not gonna pick Dockery 'cause the poll asks who could be a star. When is an o-lineman ever gonna be a star? :)
McCants...well, he's good, but I don't know if he can be spectacular.
I figure Patrick is a gimme. He's already got the talent, now he'll (hopefully) have a chance to showcase it.
But...I picked Smoot because I just feel he's got so much more to show us than what we've seen already. Lots o' potential there.
