This is the first time ever in my life that I plan to vote, and this is not a post to say who and why I am voting for, but just to say that if you are not planning on voting, rethink your reason and get involved with this process. I am 32 and I guess i am finally old enough to settle down and care about issues and canidates. If you are 18 take the time to learn about the issues and vote. It is what makes this country great. The people have the power to chose our President, some countries don't have that choice.
Even if you want to vote for Bush :D:D:D just vote. The younger people in this country need to get involved as well as anyone else who has not or was not planning on voting.

I have voted since 1988. I am also under the belief that, unless you are bedridden after you can obtain an absentee ballot, if you don't vote you can't complain.
I'm 18 and plan on voting this year .. feels kinda wierd.

If you are eligible to vote you should vote or shut up. Remember: Elected officials don't respond to citizens, they respond to voters. That's why the people most likely to vote [senior citizens] are the wealthiest people in America and those who cannot vote at all [children] are the poorest.

Truthfully... if the younger generation would get out and vote... the Democrats would most probably run the table each election. By the time a person gets a brain and comes to the understanding that MTV isnt real life - they die.

That probably pretty accurate Skinz but even then, a couple of terms of failure and then there would be a swing to the other side. It's all a cycle and the problem is, until Common Sense becomes a political party, we'll always be going around in circles.
