The way I see it is either we take Taylor or we trade down. There isn't another player at a need position until the 11th or 12th pick in the draft, excluding Winslow. And it has been covered here many times that Gibbs has won many Superbowls without a top or even medium tier TE.

That's because he likes the TE's that can block. He's a protection freak, and I love that. Give any QB enough time and they will pick apart the defense. Gibbs believes that as well. Skrew the TE position. Get some 300 pounder to step in at TE and block.

Take Taylor, let him be our Roy Williams/Ronnie Lott, and worry about TE in free agency.

I say go for Taylor. Hambrick might have made the line look like string cheese, but he also made Bowen look like he was playing on rollerskates. Bowen needs to be replaced, and Taylor would make a nice fit .

most of us agree with you on that. Most of us know our most glaring needs yet again are the DT and DE positions.

but kaiser...we have FREE AGENCY/2nd round/3rd round to look for players, im thinkin probably 2nd round is when we go for a dline player and TE well go after in free agency, we can't give up a saftey that could be GREAT! i see roy williams and hes like a FORCE in that D, so that tells u, a saftey like that on our team can do the same as Roy....lets just trust vinny and joe...they'll take care of it, i know they will.
