View Full Version : NFL Draft Blitz Rumor

The Redskins seem to have cooled on Kevin Jones and Steven Jackson...I think the rumors about Kellen Winslow Jr. there are starting to look more and more factual. With Gibbs running the show now getting a tight end seems essential and I don't think the Skins will pass. I was told by 2 scouts what their perfect draft would be....Winslow in round 1 and Randy Starks slipping to them in round 2. My sources told me they consider their draft an A+ if that happened. They have spent a lot of time looking at interior lineman for middle round picks.... Jake Grove has their eye at center.

eh .. nfldraftblitz isn't a bad site .. they do some pretty good work but they're not really guys with access to real information on subjects like this. they don't know more than the average redskins fan and i get the impression they're trying to find things to post with several months till the draft and a while till the combines.

Problem with that is R Starks stock could seriously rise after the combines and many "so-calls" a predicting that.

But settling for J.Babin wouldn't be bad either.

From Profootballweekly.com........
If there is a team not slated to draft in the top 10 that is most likely to trade its No. 1 draft choice, the Buccaneers are certainly right up there. If Gruden and Allen can find a veteran to their liking for a first-round pick — think offensive line, running back and wide receiver — there will be no hesitation in pulling the trigger this time.
Would you trade Gardner for the 15th pick ?

Nobody would even think about giving up a first round pick for Gardner.

So you are saying you dont' think they attend the Senior Bowl and spoke with Redskin scouts as they claimed they did?

u can tell by just looking at nfldraftblitz, that they are just a bunch of fans who spen their time making 7 round mock drafts for the year 2007. i mean its great to look at and a lot of their picks are sensible but u can tell it isnt very factual by just lookign at the quality of the site. as for starks, he seems to have moved up to maybe the top 15 siting what tsn has said about him. wilfork could fall. he'll have a career of being like ted washington or keith traylor which i think is exactly what the skins need. also the ycould take sean taylor, and within a few years have the vbest safety in football. then in the 2nd they could take ben troupe the te from ufa. hes no contest for winslow in athletecism but he is 30 pounds and a couple inches taller.

I hope starks would be around...I love his size and play....I'm not too hot on the winslow deal....he would cry for the ball...too much and i'm not sure that he would want that....

theres no way gruden would trade the 15th pick in the draft for gardner, it would take a miracle for the bucs to do that
gardner kinda sucks
It may be possible to trade him for the 32nd pick. New England is looking for a wr.

I don't think we should be concerned about drafting interior lineman for the offense, no matter how good Jake Grove looks. We are more than a center away from being a serious contender.
Winslow, despite all of his potential, would be a huge disappointment to me. Shockey didn't do the Jints much good this season.

umm, when one says that a team is more than 1 good blank away from being a contender, that applies to signing or trading for a big name player in his prime, which is the oppoasite of drarting jake grove out of vt. i think that if people like troupe, g jones, and darnell dockett are not there in the 2nd round, grove would be a good pick. he is solid and is the best center in the draft.

I just don't see center as a need. We need Defensive lineman more then anything. Friedman and Moore have been adequate at the Center.
