I only saw the first 20mins. (had to take the rug rats out for pizza) but that was all I needed to see. RB-Greg Jones is a beast. He ran with speed, power, vision and intelligence. C-Jake Grove pancaked his one v one assignment FOUR TIMES! On three other occassions he slid off his double teaming of the DT to pick off another defender that (either by looping or beating the OT) was coming in free at the QB. We need to seriously target these guys! I can see both of them as starters for us.
Wow .. Greg Jones had a statement night. We could use this guy.

There has got to be some way to gain an extra second round pick, because I do not want to choose between Dockett and G.Jones.

Jones, who was primarily an early 2nd round pick, may have solidified himself as a late 1st rounder after trucking over that S/LB for the TD last night. On another play, he was hit dead in the backfield thanks to a blown o-lineman assignment, but trucked his defender AGAIN for zero gain, instead of -2.
I like RBs who put their heads down and absorb tackles and shake them off. He is a beast!
The only knocks on him are his hands and his ability to block, which we all know is crucial to the new system. I can't wait till the combine to see some more of this kid...

I also thought Dockett looked amazing. He continually blew up the interior of that O-line to get into the backfield. I was impressed when they showed that about 25 - 30% of his lifetime tackles in college were for a loss!

I would say that another knock on him is his interviewing skills also. I'll have to work on that with him. :D

Damn, Jones really looks impressive. I know we all want to use our pick on a DL if we trade down, but....

Did Lavalais (DT from LSU) play? How did he look?

Lavalais had a soild week of practice and a good game. He had the pleasure of playing along side FSU DT Dockett, and the two were a force on the inside together.

P Rivers had quit a statement game - he's going to be a first rounder. ........ Have to admit, Jones did look good. ... Trading down and picking him up and maybe Ball wouldn't be too bad.
