DE Renaldo Wynn appears to be the only Redskins defensive lineman who is a safe bet to get any significant playing time next season.
WHY? Does he have pictures of Snyder with a duck? He's one of the biggest stiffs on the roster

he's an ok run stopper. Had a nice sack against Hasselbeck.

Is he going to play end or tackle though? If the Skins decide to bring in Sapp, then maybe Wynn is not a bad idea because Wynn is probably a better run stuffer than pass rusher. In fact I would rather see Winn bulk up by 10 pounds and be a tackle than see him on the end, due to his propensity for being fooled by the end around. At least he could be protected from that 1 play being in the middle.
Then Upshaw could play left end and we could draft a pure pass rusher on the right side. Sapp, Lavar, and 5th pick rushing the passer. I could live with that.

Simply, because cutting him wouldn't be very cap friendly. So as long as we're paying him all that dough, he might as well be starting.

Moving him to DT wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

OK!!! Whoever says Renaldo Wynn is good at stopping the run or good pass rusher must be out of their mind. He has done absolutly nothing in this franchise sense we had him. You ever here his name in any football games, I sure dont because hes getting shut down by below average olinemen

we need to sign a DT in free agency and go after a free agent DE and draft another DE. Wynn might be a good back up or to use in a rotation

I feel the same, I like to have lineman brought in with atleast a few years of experience.

Wynn has been average against the run and non existant against the pass in his 2 seasons here. Not worth the money it took to sign him.
He would be best suited playing next to a Ted Washington at DT, somebody who would be drawing constant DT's, so that maybe he could draw 1 on 1 blocking at DT and maybe have some speed advantage inside.

Here's the winner.
Wynn is garbage and it's just a cap question with him because he can't play.
