The BEST EVER Offensive Guard results were pretty in line with 2003 results. This year, Russ Grimm captrued 77.6% last year he had 87%

Now, vote for Offensive Tackle. This one will be tough

This was really, really tough. Camedown to Jacoby and Lachey for me. Reflected alot and went with Jim Lachey.

Yeah this is a tough one! Jacoby was a roadgrader and could move anyone when it came to run blocking. But Lachey was an all-around OT with his incredible footwork and strength for his size. He moved Jacoby to guard when he arrived!

But I went with Jacoby because of the years he was with the Skins. Lachey though was probably the better OT over his career.

im not even sure if i can pick.....

I picked Lachey only because he seemed to me to have the better mix of pass blocking and run blocking.

Jacoby struggled against true pass rushers, ala Lawrence Taylor. Lachey was a rock on the blind side.

Tough call though. Sentimental vote goes for Jacoby.

I voted for Jacoby. He was made into what the Skins felt he was. Didn't he play defense in college. I also think he was undrafted.....

I went with Lachey on this one. On the Guard thread, I voted Grimm, who I thought was so obvious a choice I didn't feel compelled to comment.

I think Lachey was more dominant that Jacoby.

It is absolutely fantastic when you have at least 2 great players to choose from !

It's not easy, but it sure as heck is fun !!!!!

I went with Lachey. He was one of my favorites growing up. Jacoby was certainly a great one, but I gave the edge to personal bias.

Monte Coleman...on the hardest hit he ever took.
Really the hardest hit I ever took came from Joe Jacoby in practice one day. Just a counter trey the Hogs and John Riggins made famous. I stepped up to close it and it was lights out.'

Man I loved to watch Joe...he was not fast, or very graceful but he got the job done for a lot of years...

Went with Jacoby, just seemed with my first instinct to be the best choice. Both he and Lachey were amazing.

Had to vote Joe due to playing time with team, however big Jim was the better pure player. Penn., I find it criminal that you have Jon and Chris on this list and have neglected Mark May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! an oversight?

Have to admit, I was between Jake and Lachey. Lachey was probably better, but Jake brought back more fond memories.

BUT, then I looked up Turk and there was no question. This guy was a class A STUD. All NFL for every year in his career, hall of fame, played both ways.

GO TURK!!

Albert Glen Edwards -- much better known as “Turk” first gained prominence as an All-America tackle at Washington State and as a star on the Cougars' 1931 Rose Bowl squad. When he finished college a year later, he received offers from three National Football League clubs and he chose the highest bid –- $1,500 for 10 games from the newly organized Boston Braves, a team that would later take the name Boston Redskins and then move to Washington in 1937.

Signing Edwards was a sensational move for the new team for Turk responded with nine superior seasons, winning All-NFL honors from major media outlets every year of his career except his last one. A 6-2, 255-pound tackle does not create unusual notice today, but in the 1930s, a player of that stature stood out like the Rock of Gibraltar. And that is the way Edwards played the game — typifying overwhelming strength and power and yet he possessed enough agility to do a superb job every minute of every game.

Like many of his time, Turk was an iron man, playing on both offense and defense. Edwards continued to stand out long after the Boston Redskins had become the Washington Redskins, but almost unbelievably, the seemingly indestructible Edwards was injured at a coin-tossing ceremony prior to a game against the New York Giants in the 1940 season. After calling the coin toss and shaking hands with the opposing team captain, Edwards attempted to pivot around to head back to his sideline. However, his cleats caught in the grass and his oft-injured knee gave way, bringing his season and career to an unusual end.

He stayed on with the Redskins first as an assistant coach and then as head coach until after the 1946 season. Then after 17 straight campaigns with the Redskins, Edwards retired from pro football.

Sorry guys off topic, Badskin about 3 years ago I was at Schonbrunn wearing my Skins jacket, and two girls from D.C. were chasing me around! They didn't know anything but they were cute. Aber meine Ehefrau hat es nicht gemocht!

Jacoby is the guy everyone loves [I love him, too], but Lachey is the standard by which all Redskins tackles must be measured. He was Jacoby's equal as a run-blocker and clearly superior as a pass-blocker. Jacoby has stayed active in the area and with the team and so his popularity is understandable. I only rate by what I see or saw on the field, though. Jacoby was excellent. Lachey was better.

Turk was a Football player.
Jac was a fan favorite.
Lachey was Football athlete.

Tough one but today - I'll say Jim edges out Turk for best - but in my heart, Jac will always be my favorite.

Went with Big Jake, great player, had a mean streak and always went all-out. Lachey was the better athlete, yes, but Jake was the better football player. PLus who could forget his awesome acting spots fot Theatre Vision. Tough to choose between the 2 but, It's jake by a nose.

It's got to be JJ. He played w/ the Skins much longer (his entire career), had more championships etc. Although, I think that Lachey in his prime 90, 91 dominated more than any other lineman in the history of the nfl.

Off topic, but who could forget the extra years they tried to squeeze out of that commercial.

What a disappointing result so far......Lachey was by far the best T the Skins ever had.
