-- Wuerffel Retires -- from FFMastermind.com

AP reports former Heisman Trophy winner QB Danny Wuerffel says he is finished with the NFL. Wuerffel, who spent six seasons as a backup quarterback with New Orleans, Green Bay and Washington. He was cut last year by the Redskins during training camp, then coached by his former coach at Florida, Steve Spurrier. He turned down an offer to return at midseason to return to the Redskins.

Ummmmmm, Danny, not sure you would have had any offers anyway.

He is about one the nicest persons out there and I hope he thinks about coaching. His talent may not have been there but he is the kind of person the NFL needs around.

The Patriots had 6-4, 250-pound tight end Zeron Flemister in for a tryout. Flemister, 27, spent his first four seasons with the Redskins

Always glad to see Iowa players getting a chance to make it in the NFL.

Lionel dalton signs two year deal with KCIf my defense was as bad as Kansas City's was last year I wouldn't even allow that fat pantload's plane to land, let alone sign him to a contract.

That seals it, Dalton will have an All Pro season in 04!

Thanks Spence!

Packers must be getting desparate to look at Flemister

Alexander sure has flamed out after a promising start. Although, if there is any team that can rejuvenate a TE's career, it is Brett Favre and the Pack.

I don't have a source, but I head that Norv Turner signed David Terrell out in Oakland.

He also picked up Hambrick too.

Yea I've read the same stuff Robert. Makes since becuase they lack depth at both those positions. Particularly since Rod hasn't said yeh or neh about next season.
