ESPNnews is saying that Madison will be cut by Miami, a possible replacement for Champ?

Yup if he is cut would be a nice replacement...I think we are gonna keep Champ though. There is a glutten of CB FA this year. To me that says Cahmp's leverage is not what it use to be.

I don't see any team out there offering us enough to trade him, especially considering the enourmous FA market for corners this year.

madison would be a nice replacement.

all this Champ noise has gone too far without something happening. I think we'll settle for Detriot's First and 3rd.

if he's worth what he thinks he is worth then there ought to be good offers ....

*and if there aren't ....

market correction, but someone will offer him a better contract then what the skins are offering him and he'll sign it and the skins will get something.

Miami plays alot of zone Madison isn't much in man coverage....

I'd still rather get Winfield but if Champ is gone we have to consider all possible alternatives.

Don't bother with Madison. This is the NFC East and the Redskins have limited cash. CBs don't win games in a division with Parcells and Reid. D-Line, D-Line, D-Line -- that should be their offseason. If they trade Champ, get Abraham or Shaun Rogers and a pick, and go after Ted Washington, and either Darren Howard or Kearse.

If Champ gets an offer, we'll be looking pretty. Considering we slapped the franchise tag on him, we'll get a lot of good things in return for him.
Madison would be OK, but he really isn't a great cover corner. And like Dexter said, our d-line will need more improvement than worrying about the CB's.

I don't think he will get cut, and Mia plays almost no zone, they play more man then any team in the NFL

You can dislike Madison all you like, but he has attended approx. 4 or 5 pro bowls over his 7 year career. He is a VERY good cornerback.

Welcome to HR Dexter72!!

I think Madison is definately a viable option should we lose Champ.

I agree with those that would take Madison.

I have a feeling Madison will have a big openning price so wait to see if there are some suckers out there and if not, sign him. There are some very nice players coming up in Miami in Texas that we can draft in the following drafts, and next year you got Marlin Jackson.

Madison is going to be expensive, I'd rather get a beefed up D line and get a 2nd tier CB. We need pressure!!! Abraham and Ted Washington would be nice additions.

Abraham is a free agent next year.

Miami plays all zone that is why Madison and Surtain get all those INT each year... Madison is a Dave Wanstat ?? decip;e that is what he is known for his zone D.... Who coached Larry Brown to super bowl MVP because he was in zone picking off O'Donnell?
