I was checking out a vikings site. The talk was Bennett and the vikings 3rd pick for Champ. This is best deal i have seen to date .It would work for both sides.I would love to see Bennett next season being a redskin!!!!! So what do you think ?

Bennett could work in Gibbs' offense but as of now he hasn't really been asks to run against 8 or 9 men and all the stuff a power back is asked to do.

I could go with that....

I don't know, if the Lions deal falls through this isn't bad. Can Bennett stay healthy is the question.

He may be needed here but for some reason I feel we can do a little better..than that....but I do like the move....

I must be missing something here, he had one good year, 1200 Ruyds, and injuries the other two. He is comming up on his fourth year, so we would have to re-sign him soon. Him and a 3rd rounder for Champ? No thanks.

What? How is this the best deal so far. I still think Detriot's #1 pick, 6th overall is a good deal. Now that's speculation too, but I'm assuming this is also just a rumor. With Bennett being hurt most of last season I'd be worried about this deal. I say we stick with a high demand of a 1st, 2nd, AND player until we see what other teams are offering.

Champ for just a #6 is a stupid trade, the lions are getting a sure thing (an all-pro at that) and we're getting an expensive gamble. 1st and a player or 2nd or a 3rd.
I must be missing something too b/c Bennett and a 3rd doesn't tickle my fancy in fact I think that's the worse deal I've heard, I'd rather draft C.Perry or a RB from the draft later.

Bennett and a 3rd rounder? No way. That is not even close to acceptable.
Bennett and a 2nd? Nope...
Gotta get at least a first rounder out of Champ. Otherwise, our chances of that 3rd rounder becoming a viable starter diminishes...

Stop smoking crack.. No way champ leaves unless it is for 2 first rounders

Don't sell Bennett short: when he is healthy, he has insane wheels, moves and good power. Key word, however: healthy. A first and Bennett, then we would have a good deal.

Stop the press...:D
Thanks to seeway for pointing somthing out to me. I thought it was for Bennett and the #3 overall pick. Not a 3rd rounder.
No way in the word would I settle for this. I don't know why I thought the Vikings had the #3 pick. :smash:

Nope. Not enough value for Champ. BTW, the best rumor I have heard is a #2 and Abraham from the Jets. That would be sick.

Bennett is not the "model back" for Gibbs power running game. He is too much speed and finesse.

Yeah, I am not high on Bennett in terms of his fit into Gibbs' scheme. There should be a better offer already out there. For a team who is as desperate as the Vikings to upgrade their defense, they should be ready to commit more than that for one of the top 3 corners in the league.

He is good but he is a speed back.

Bennett is the fastest player in the NFL.....that says enough. And for people that dont believe that....when people ask vick if he is the fastest he says 2nd...to michael bennett. This guy is a future superstar. We would have to do this deal.

i like the detroit deal better, we get the #6 and can draft udeze, and then we can trade the #5 for more picks (ie greg jones)

I mentioned Bennet a couple of months ago. He's a hard runner with decent speed. Bailey for Bennett and 2nd round pick.

I don't agree. Bailey is just too much, and Bennet has injury issues. I like the Lions option.

Bennett and a 3rd rounder... no way When healthy Fred Taylor is awesome too but they both never seem to be healthy.I think we try to get a first and second and possibly a player this year to make up for only having 3 picks

Just say no Joe!I hope Coach Gibbs doesnt settle for this trade. The lions trade is much better.if I understood that trade it wasnt just the #6 pick.We origionally asked for a 1st,2nd and or a player.Id take Rodgers and their 1st instead of this Bennett deal.He hasnt proven that he can be an every down back IMO for the duration of the season.

Big, powerful backs are not necessarily good fits at FB. Look at T.J. Duckett. 254 pounds, can't block worth sh*t.

Bennett runs hard but I can't see him carrying the ball consistantly 25-30 times a game in a run first offense play action offense.
