nope you can use it as often as you want. The Seahawks just franchised Walter Jones for the 3rd straight season.

I remember Chris McCallister saying last year that the Ravens can keep on franchising him if they want. He said he would continue to accept the franchise tender also, pointing out it's amount.

That's the thing that I don't understand when we hear that players get upset by the tag. You are essentially guaranteed great salary for that one year. I know that it isn't a $10-15mil bonus, but it isn't chump change either.

I believe if you use it on a player and then resign him to a long term deal, you can not use it till the end of that deal. Am I correct or wrong (as usual :D)
