I've been looking at all of these threads concerning the draft...one thing stands out. People are talking about what we will do with the extra pick we receive from trading Champ.
Let's wake up and smell the coffee. We probably will come out on the short end of this trade!
Yes, we will probably lose draft picks not gain them.
And if we do get PORTIS...yes that is great but we will have a huge hole at CB. We don't currently have a backup CB that can start this year.
So, Why hasn't anyone mentioned drafting a CB?

I'm not sure why people are assuming that we will not address our defensive needs because of the offensive moves that we are making right now.
To answer one of your questions directly, there have been members here that have thrown out the possibility of drafting a CB. I believe that the general concensus is that we will address that need through FA.

OK. First of all we are giving up the draft pick, not gettin it. Then, out secondary will be just fine. We still have Smoot and Bauman. Ohalate, or whatever, is at safety. He is so underrated. Whenever i watch a game his name comes up so much. He is really good.

Put Sean Taylor on the other side of Ohalete and we have probably the second best secondary in the NFC East (pending that Phily gets rid of Vincent). I think we will sign two Colts players this offseason for our defensive needs; Bratzke at DT and Washington at LB. He would be a great outside complement to LaVar, cuz Armstead is getting old, even though he had somewhat of a good season...

My thoughts exactly not only that but Sean Taylor can Probably play Corner too if we really needed him to i say we take Sean Taylor at number 5. WE shouldnt have made the Brunell trade the guy is 30 somthing and he costed us a 3rd round pick which we could have used to get aDT or somthing.

Then what?.... Chris Samuels traded since Jimmy Sexton is an (fill in the blank) and Cerrato has reworked is contract twice before leading to the $9M predicament!
