He is so lucky to have finally found himself a world-class organization. What was the bonus, 16 million or so?

isn't that less than what we were offering

Yes, the more I learn, the more I am convinced champ wasn't leaving because of the money.

Rather I think he was frustrated with the turnover in Washington, and you can't really blame him.

I think some of the members here were right when they said he made his decision to leave when Spurrier was hired and he was too much of a class act to hold out.

Goodbye Champ, I will miss you.

He better get used to turnover because if Shanahan doesn't deliver a team deep into the playoffs, he may just be looking for a new job next year....Shanahan that is.

I'm out in Colorado, and I am not a Shananhan fan. I think the Broncos need to take a page from the Redskins and make some changes in the coaching area.

Don't be taking pages from our book or it will take you at least 12 years to figure out who you need to hire as a coach, that's 12 long, miserable, degrading, heartwrenching years. Pardon me while I get a glass of water and some Prozac.

I wonder if the Signing Bonus is included in that 42 or separate.

The Redskins offered Champ a $14 million signing bonus, less than $16 million. Of course, that's if the $16 million number is correct. So far, little that has been reported has been correct.

Meanwhile, the Post reports one NFL source says Portis is demanding a $20 million signing bonus, though the Redskins claim that is false. It better be.
