As for the Broncos ...........
RB = go figure :D
#2 and #3 Wr , we have some potiental there but alot of unproven so far ...
TE= With Sharpe Not knowing if he is retiring or comming back were up in the air here .......
DT= Not knowing the status of DG , and the rest of our DT being what other teams threw away , we did well there but we have room for improvment .......
FB - Anderson wanting to go to greener Pastures , Denver hasnt had a real Fullback since 2000 ......
And then Finaly Back up QB ..........
What are your concerns over the Skins ?

CB - But I guess you knew that ;)
DLine...They can't get a sack in the AARPFL right now.
TE- need a good blocker who can still make a few catches
OLB - have some potential, but need a little more competition IMO.
C- not a glaring weakness, but could use some improvement.
Some would say Safety, but I think they're fine. Could be improved, but they won't hurt us.

I don't believe this will be an issue. 1- because you have a tendancy to make mediocre backs into stars with that line, and 2- Griffin reminds me of a young Barry Sanders. I think he could do serious damage if he was the starter.
#2 and #3 Wr , we have some potiental there but alot of unproven so far ...
Ashlie Lelie is the real deal, he just needed a little more time. What does your projected WR core look like right now?
TE= With Sharpe Not knowing if he is retiring or comming back were up in the air here .......
I can see this as an honest issue, I just have a feeling he'll be back. He was a top 3 TE all last season, at times he looked like the best. It's not an issue until he officially retires.
DT= Not knowing the status of DG , and the rest of our DT being what other teams threw away , we did well there but we have room for improvment .......
There just aren't a whole lot of teams that aren't in this boat. We might have the worst DL in all of football, but not many teams are totally set there. So anyone could use improvement.
FB - Anderson wanting to go to greener Pastures , Denver hasnt had a real Fullback since 2000 ......
Well, if you had your salary wanting to be cut in one third, wouldn't you want to leave?
But yes, you will need a bruising back...actually you've done fine without one, your FB needs to be more versitale. Good luck finding one.
And then Finaly Back up QB ..........
I'm sure you'll find someone. Hey, I hear Vinny Testeverde is available...hahaha
What are your concerns over the Skins ?
Major concerns are DL ie: DE and DT. We need a complete overhaul there. We also need a punter and an RB. We MIGHT need a backup QB as well seeing as Ramsey is unhappy about Brunell.
There are other smaller issues, but those are the main ones.

CB is true if Bailey leaves. Of course that would cover our RB deficiency.
I'm not so sure about TE being such a weakness, I think the gibbs system can get by with almost anyone. But I understand your point.
OLB will not be a problem. We have a kid with good potential on the bench. (I forget his name right now)
C isn't a problem, it's just not a complete strength. Give Bugel some time and POOF he'll be very good.
I agree about safety, I think we actually have a good tandem.

The Problem with Griffin is his size , he is 5'7 195 pounds , we question if he can hold up 16 Games 20-30 Carries a Game

I lilie but We think Ed Mac may retire , and after that we have some unknowns

we sure hope your right

Anderson brought that on himself with his 4 game suspension over drugs

Spider...you do realize that Barry was only 5'8" and 199 pounds right? Not too much different from Griffin.
The key is not taking big hits, Barry was the master of that, and Griffin looked extremely elusive to me.

We need a defensive line first and foremost.
Then a CB to replace Champ.
A good blocking tight end

Redskins Areas of Need*
Offensive line depth
#3 wideout
Tight end
Everything on the defensive line
New strong side linebacker
New #1 cornerback
Whew, that's a lot, isn't it?
*Assuming the Bailey-Portis trade goes through.

The same Griffin that had a measly 3.7 ypc average on 94 carries last season? I guess that awsome O-line in Denver only blocks for their primary ball carrier, huh? :D

Jsarno....TE is a huge need. Joe Gibbs offense REQUIRES and NEEDS a big blocking TE. Don Warren was there most of Gibbs time, but Didier coudl catch and block as well. Right now, we have no TE on this team that I woudl even trust to block a grass blade.

Corner Back and Defensive line are the pressing issues.
A quality blocking tight end IS important to Gibbs. I do not think you can plug in just anyone.
I would add a safety at the right price. I'm not sold on Iffy....too many mistakes.
I have to disagree on the #3 receiver and the offensive line. McCants is more than capable and I think with Jacobs healthy, we will see his potential this year.
The offensive line is fine. Jansen, Samuels, and Thomas are all first rate. Moore is a decent center. Dockery made a lot of mistakes last year but he also improved every game and showed flashes of becoming a quality guard. Besides, I think he is a better run blocker than pass blocker. Winey, Friedman, and Fiore provide good depth. Another guard/center might be nice but with Bugel at the helm, our O line should be just fine.
I just don't think we are in as bad a shape as most teams

Spence, you think we need a number 3 wideout? I think that McCants/Jacobs/Johnson more than fit the bill.
Other than that, you're list is right on.
I don't think it will take too much to fill in these gaps. Gibbs can get more out of the players that were here before, so we don't need stars at every position... (which is why we are going out and getting Brunell and Portis, lol)

Hey it looks like Roland will cover 2 of your needs now that he wants to play WR too.

I agree truant..the last thing we need is another WR.

A lot of these holes can be filled with our own FA's.

For the Skins......
RB=Wait we got one didnt we:D,moving right along....
CB=Luckily plenty of FAS worthy of pairing with Smoot.
DT=We have to find atleast one guy to push the pocket and break(not just take)double teams.
DE=A top notch pass rusher has to be signed here.
TE=Gibbs O use to rely on two great blocking adequate pass catching TE's,weve got a consistent young rookie already in Royals.Consistently injured that is.
LB=Have to replace Armstead but because of Trotter and LA it doesnt have to be a probowl guy IMO.
Finally...... for gosh sakes we need a punter!

Can we call Mike Sellers a good blocking TE? I know what his true position is, but those positions are somewhat interchangable. IF I remember correctly he also wasn't a bad receiver. TE problem solved! Okay maybe not, lets go after Gonzalez now and then we can get TO and Kabeer Gjabilamila (the DE for GB).

watch j! barry sanders is my man, we'll see if griffin can be the same type of player. and he did have a good game against a pretty weak colts D.
you guys have hit the nail on the head with the needs. i think DL, CB and TE need to be address first and foremost. our whole DL needs to go, bailey leaving leaves a big whole and our TEs stink.

Yes, you're right...a blocking TE. Not an offensive one. I've been saying this for a long time. This is why we don't really need one that badly. Blcoking TE's are easy to find. I think Chamberlain will do fine for us. We have much more pressing needs

I didn't think McCants had a bad season at all, I like the guy. And remember, he was the first current player to introduce himself to Gibbs.
